Item EFECTOS DEL EJERCICIO TERAPÉUTICO EN LA MOVILIDAD ARTICULAR DEL HOMBRO EN PACIENTES POST MASTECTOMÍA(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Fisioterapia, 2024-08-27) Colina Silvera, Génesis Mayerly; Cedeño Zamora, María NarcizaBreast cancer is a disease that mainly affects women and can have a negative impact on their quality of life. Mastectom y, as part of the treatment, can lead to limitations in shoulder mobilit y. In this context, therapeutic exercise is presented as an important intervention to improve joint mobility and quality of life and facilitate the recovery of patients. Therefore, the aim of this systematic review is to describe the effects of therapeutic exercise on shoulder joint mobility in post-mastectomy patients. Following the PRISMA model, we searched databases such as PubMed and Cochrane Library for information from the last 5 years using MeSH terms. We included studies published in English or Spanish; controlled trials and randomized control le d trials (RCTs); Applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 16 articles investigating shoulder exercise and mobility in post-mastectomy patients were selected. A positive trend was observed in most of the studies analyzed, demonstrating significant benefits of therapeutic exercise in shoulder joint mobility, mainly in flexion, extension and abduction movements. The results indicate that rehabilitation programs, which include various exercise modalities, significa n tl y improve range of motion in patients, regardless of the duration of interventions. Msc.Shoulder injuries are the type of injury most frequently seen in the emergency department, suffered by the working population as well as athletes. From the medical area, patients are referred to the physiotherapy department for proper evaluation and intervention, in order to improve their quality of life. The purpose of this research project was to analyze the intervention protocol applied in shoulder injuries by physical therapists in the city of Ambato. 50 active professionals from public and private centers participated in this study. This was a quantitative-qualitative field study with a descriptive research design. Data collection was carried out by applying a cross-sectional survey composed of three questionnaires previously validated by experts in the field, that identified evaluation elements, methods and rehabilitation techniques, as well as physical therapists’ basic knowledge on this topic. Statistical processes were carried out in programs such as IBM SPSS and Microsoft Excel. The results showed that, in terms of shoulder assessment, physical therapists mostly use the correct elements for evaluation, despite this there were inconsistencies, since a high percentage responded to the distractor. However, the professionals did not use scientific evidence, clinical practice guidelines and did not apply evidence-based practice. Though they use methods and techniques backed by high quality scientific evidence for adhesive capsulitis, they did not apply them in the correct xvi rehabilitation phases, whereas for shoulder tendinopathies they used low scientific quality protocols. In relation to basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, they obtained an average of 5.6/10 points, which shows a deficit in knowledge.Item “ Prevalencia de lesiones músculo esquelética de hombro en militares en servicio activo que pertenecen a la ESFORSE-Ambato(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Física, 2018-08-01) Ortiz Ponce, Limber Francisco; Moscoso Córdova, Grace VerónicaMusculoskeletal disorders of the Shoulder are a subject of great interest within the Physiotherapy literature, particularly with respect to recurrence rates and the ideal technical indications for treatment. Little has been published specifically addressing the occupational implications of shoulder instability in the military. The present research project aimed to determine the prevalence of shoulder musculoskeletal disorders in soldiers in active service of the Soldiers Training School in the period from March to June 2017, an analysis of the medical records was made of soldiers with these disorders to determine its prevalence. It was observed that in the period from March to June of the year 2017 there were 38 cases of soldiers with musculoskeletal disorders of the shoulder, 94.7% correspond to the male sex, the groups with the highest frequency of disorders were the military with more than 30 years ( 65.8%), instructors and athletes had a higher prevalence of these disorders with a representation of 65.9% and 26.3% respectively, the rotator cuff syndrome had a frequency of 34.2% followed by biceps tendonitis by 21.1%. It is concluded that the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders of the shoulder in the soldiers of the Ambato Soldiers Training School "Vencedores del Cenepa" is 12.8%, that is, 3 out of every 100 active service soldiers have compatible cadres with said disorders in the period described above.Item “El entrenamiento con carga progresiva en el gimnasio y su influencia en lesiones del manguito de los rotadores”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Fisica, 2017-07-01) Ruales Castillo, Leydi Julieta; Espín Pasto, Victoria Estefanía Lcda. Msc.At present one of the main causes of consultation is the pathology of the rotator cuff as to the branch of physiotherapy, since the shoulder is one of the joints with more mobility in the human body so it is exposed to injuries. Rotator cuff injury affects a significant group of athletes and non-athletes and is a pathological condition characterized by pain when performing activities that exceed 90 ° of flexion and 90 ° of abduction of the shoulder. The objective of this project is to determine the influence of progressive loading on rotator cuff injuries in people who attend the Extreme GYM gym in the city of Ambato. Este estudio conto con la participación voluntaria de 30 sujetos que asisten al gimnasio "Extreme GYM" of the city of Ambato, the progressive burden was assessed by means of a personal data collection form (names and surnames, weight, height and frequency), shoulder exercises performed, the load with which he performed those exercises and Which of these causes pain, the rotator cuff injury was assessed by functional tests (Jobe, Neer, Hawkins Kennedy, Yocum, Patte, Gerber, Minor Round Test and Lag test). The study found that the longer days of training and specifically the front press exercise with the bar could influence the rotator cuff injuries.Item Incidencia del Pinzamiento Primario de Hombro en Trabajadores de la Industria Metalúrgica en Cotopaxi(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud-Carrera Terapia Física, 2016-05-01) Benavides Mayo, Yajaira Nataly; Dra. Garcés Gordón, Lida CarmelinaThe present research was carried out to staff of the Metallurgical Industry Cotopaxi 'Cedal', which has as its principal objective to determine the incidence of the primary shoulder impingement, through the implementation of specific maneuvers to diagnose the injury rating study. PPH is the mechanical friction between the structures encountered in the subacromial space, it comes from 40, a kinetic joint disorder causing pain, swelling, functional disability and may even end up in surgery. Through the authorization of the enterprise the project was carried out in the population that meets the criteria of inclusion and exclusion, they were assessed through the Hawkins and Neer testing respectively to explore the primary shoulder impingement of the working staff. The present research corresponds to a qualitative approach because data and measurements will be obtained through words. It is transversal because the data is collected only once and descriptive-observational level, since the study is from epidemiological nature. In the present study 236 workers form part, through a convenient sampling obtained from qualified personnel according to the criteria of inclusion and exclusion, in which 36 people who were diagnosed with PPH through the Neer and Hawkins test. The investigation is completed showing that 92% of the total population, which corresponds to 33 individuals were diagnosed with PPH, presenting more affectation to the population of 46 years and a greater impact on the area Anodized with 45% due to working functions they perform daily.
