Item “Efectividad de ejercicios activos libres en el síndrome de piernas inquietas en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica”,(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Física, 2019-03-01) Corrales Freire, Karen Cristina; Jerez Camino, Carlos Milton Dr.UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE AMBATO FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS DE LA SALUD CARRERA DE TERAPIA FÍSICA “EFECTIVIDAD DE EJERCICIOS ACTIVOS LIBRES EN EL SÍNDROME DE PIERNAS INQUIETAS EN PACIENTES CON INSUFICIENCIA RENAL CRÓNICA”, Autor: Corrales Freire, Karen Cristina Tutor: Dr. Jerez, Carlos Fecha: Junio 2017 SUMMARY Chronic Renal Failure is the "decrease in renal function expressed by a GFR less than 60 mL / min / 1.73m SC manifested directly by histological alterations in renal biopsy or indirectly by markers of renal damage" (1) , Patients with chronic kidney failure are more likely to have Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) defined as "the imperative need to move their lower limbs" (2), which is almost immediately resolved by movement. The present research aims to determine the effectiveness of free active exercises in restless legs syndrome in patients with chronic renal failure, for this reason an initial assessment was made to the participants, a type of exercise was applied for each participant, and a final assessment, With these two valuations, statistical tests were applied that showed a significant difference between the initial and final valuations. All active free exercises applied to patients were favorable for the reduction of restless legs symptoms, ie, the effectiveness of free active exercises in restless legs syndrome was demonstrated in patients with chronic renal failure. Mg.The present research seeks to determine the relationship between stress and coping strategies in patients with chronic renal failure with hemodialysis treatment of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security Ambato, this was done with patients who present with a clinical picture of Chronic Renal Failure, who come to the area of Nephrology for respectively the hemodialysis process, the sample was established with 45 patients, of whom 25 are men and 20 are women between the ages of 15 to 84 years, who were evaluated through the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), which evaluated the level of perceived stress and the Inventory of Coping Strategies (CSI) that determined what are the strategies that patients use compared to a given situation generates stress, for the analysis of the data was used for the statistical program SSPS and through the statistical test Chi-square test was obtained a value lower than the probability level ((0.008 < p 0,05), determining the existence of relationship between the two variables. The data obtained suggest that there is a relationship between the variables proposed, Given that the adequate management of coping strategies will establish the level of stress that patients present against the different stressors, as well as the data suggest the need to work in psychotherapeutic processes to promote, develop and potentiate effective coping strategies to deal with stressful situations so that patients increase strategies to reduce the stress level and thus guarantee a better quality of lifeItem “Intervención de enfermería en paciente adulto mayor con enfermedad renal crónica secundaria a diabetes.”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud- Carrera de Enfermeria, 2017-08-01) Poveda Naranjo, Raquel Carolina; Fernández Nieto, Miriam Ivonne Lcda. In this study, a 78-year-old male patient, a married civil status, with a history of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus for 20 years, with treatment and Arterial Hypertension, was admitted to the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute (IESS). Time being an older adult patient, failure to comply with the prescribed medical indications, and lack of care within the home, all of these are the main factors that triggered chronic renal failure in the patient. Because of the seriousness of these, began pharmacological treatment and about 10 months ago began with dialysis. The importance of dialysis for the health of the patient is communicated to family members (wife and daughter), but there is no favorable response. Expectant behavior. The Methodology in this case was done through analysis, bibliographical and documentary research, description, the application of surveys and observation, which allows us to establish the patient's condition and the nursing care that can be performed. In Conclusion we identified the main factors that triggered the patient's problems, this information was compiled to design a nursing care guide aimed at the patient and family to improve their quality of life.Item “complicaciones principales que determinan cambio de alternativa de tratamiento clínico a hemodiálisis en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica en el hpda Ambato en el periodo noviembre 2011 – enero 2012”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Medicina, 2012-05-01) Naranjo Proaño, Marcia Isabel; Mena Villarroel, Luis ByronDr.Chronic renal failure is a serious health problem that impacts very significantly to those affected their family, society and health services. Since this disease usually begins late in life, is associated with other risk factors and chronic disease development and also progresses slowly, triggers a variety of complications such as hypertension, anemia, malnutrition, disease bone, neuropathy, and decreased quality of life, which can be prevented, or at least reduce its adverse effects, with a treatment in early stages. In the present study analyzes the major complications that determine the change in clinical treatment alternative to hemodialysis in renal insufficient patients, the same is done in the provincial teaching hospital of the city of Ambato.Se is a cross sectional study in which included patients hospitalized in the Internal Medicine Department, with an established diagnosis of CRI. Bringing the total sample of 40 patients without distinction of gender and age of information which we obtained by reviewing medical records. As main findings indicated that most patients have hyperkalemia, uncontrolled anemia, there was an increase in serum creatinine in all patients, and a creatinine clearance of very low concentrations, the study population also presented diseases such as Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension, which reveals the severity of the symptoms and the need for immediate therapeutic intervention to the study population.
