Item REPERCUSIÓN DEL PERÍODO PRENATAL Y ROL MATERNO EN EL DESARROLLO ACADÉMICO UNIVERSITARIO: REVISIÓN BIBLIOGRÁFICA(2025-06-16) Guano Almache, Cristian Joel; Analuisa Jiménez, Eulalia Isabel; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de EnfermeríaIntroduction: The period the maternal role can have significant repercussions on the academic development of university students. Previous studies have identified challenges such as the balance between academic and parental responsibilities, as well as prenatal factors that influence the cognitive and socio-emotional development of children. Objective: To analyze the main repercussions of the prenatal period and maternal role on the academic development of university students. Methodology: A systematic search was carried out in electronic databases such as PubMed, Scielo and Google Scholar, following the PRISMA guidelines. Observational studies published between 2019 and 2024 that investigated the relationship between prenatal factors, motherhood and academic performance in university students were included. Results: The maternal role during university studies presents considerable challenges, although with adequate support, some student mothers manage to persist and be academically successful. Effective coping strategies such as time management and the use of technologies to facilitate learning were identified. Conclusion: The prenatal period and the maternal role have multifaceted repercussions on college academic development. It is crucial that educational institutions implement specific support policies and services for student mothers, considering both academic and childcare needs.Item EXPERIENCIAS ACADÉMICAS DE LAS ESTUDIANTES DE ENFERMERÍA CON HIJOS MENORES DE 1 AÑO(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-03) Chiliquinga Yugcha, Lisseth Leonela; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy CristinaIntroduction: Pregnancy is a problem within higher academic studies since there are situations affected by being a mother and student, being a complex and arduous routine, which sometimes causes student dropout. Objective: To analyze the academic experiences of nursing students with children under 1 year of age. Method: Qualitative, exploratory, phenomenological. 7 interviews were carried out with students with children under 1 year old, taking into account ethical aspects. The methodology of D. Demaziere and C. Duvar was applied, generating an outline of the interviews. Results: The life routine of being a mother and student is a different aspect from the rest of the daily life of a university student, where it influences the family, academic and work relationship, presenting difficulties for progress in completing a professional degree. Also, the routine of a university mother is related to fatigue in fulfilling her responsibilities, in addition to the fact that life does not tend to be of greater achievement on occasions such as abandonment of the partner being a life problem. Discussion: Family support is important in the family, work and academic spheres, as well as support from the couple, which is essential. Conclusions: Being a university mother affects family and academic relationships and includes a work life, therefore, the majority of students are supported, but at the same time they had less time for their recreational and academic activities, where the responsibility was majority and disciplinary.Item “Factores que influyen en la no adherencia al esquema de vacunación de la población infantil en el centro de salud nº 3 de la provincia de Chimborazo”.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Enfermería, 2019-10-01) Benavides Muzha, Luz Estefanía; Arraiz, Fernández Carolina, DraObjective: Determine the factors that influence the non-adherence to the vaccination scheme of the child population in the health center No. 3 of the Province of Chimborazo”. Type of study: analytical, cross-sectional and quantitative. A population of 74 mothers was used for non-probabilistic sampling for convenience. Technique and instrument: a survey was used that was validated by experts in which general information, open and closed questions and vaccination scheme are detailed. Results: 70.27% were mothers, 27.03% were between 25-29 years old, 62.16% were mestizos, 35.14% had complete instruction, 51.35% were female. In the internal and external factors we find the following: 100% answered that religion and waiting time in the unit is not a factor, 81.13% forget the vaccination date, the 54.55% frequent adverse reactions were muscle pain and irritability, 22.97% distance, 21.62% work, 18.92% there are no vaccines and syringes, 18.92% due to adverse reactions, 18.87% home births, 9, 46% child is sick, 8.11% lack of time, 8.11% change of address, 6.76% traveling, 6.76% lost of license, 6.76% being a first-time mother, 4.05% sick caregiver, 2.70% economic factor, 1.35% ethnicity, 1.35% lack of information. Conclusion: the most predominant factors were: forgetting the vaccination date, work, lack of time, distance, child being sick, changing the lost address of the card and adverse reactions.Item “Intervención de enfermería y su relación con el estado emocional de las madres con hijos hospitalizados en el servicio de neonatología del hospital general de Latacunga”.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Enfermería, 2018-10-01) Tapia Espín, Tania Fernanda; Moreno Martín, Mónica MScThe prognosis of babies admitted to the Neonatology unit is often uncertain, which is why the fears of parents may increase and may interfere in the relationship with their child. Several studies have established that the parents' emotional reactions to hospitalization of the baby observing the presence of negative emotions. Reason for which the research was developed with the objective of analyzing nursing interventions and their relationship with the emotional state of mothers with children hospitalized in the Neonatology service of the General Hospital of Latacunga. For this purpose, a descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional and prospective methodology was used that included 19 mothers and 10 nurses to whom the data collection instruments were applied (quality of care survey, observation sheet and PANAS Affectivity Scale). With this, it was concluded that nursing interventions in the care of mothers with hospitalized children are adequate since this is reflected in the fact that the majority of mothers with children hospitalized in the Neonatology service of the General Hospital Latacunga feel satisfied with the service provided. Mg.This research project is developed on "The types of labor and its relationship to the gross motor development of children 0-1 years of age in Ambato Regional Teaching Hospital"; the same overall objective was to determine the relationship between birth rates and large motor development children 0-1 years, and as specific objectives: to analyze what types of delivery occur more frequently in Ambato Regional Teaching Hospital, evaluate the gross motor development of children 0-1 years and relate the type of delivery with gross motor development in children aged 0-1 years. Survey (same as was applied to the mothers attending the institution), the scale of Nelson Ortiz (applied to children to observe gross motor development in order to comply with: the tool was used to test the hypothesis the goal set); also it took into account techniques: observation and empathic listening. It was concluded that the hypothesis is not met since higher ranges of 0.05 was obtained evidence according to the statistics of the t-student. Allowing sure that no matter what kind of birth does not affect the development of gross motor skills of the child.
