COMPARACIÓN DE LA PRUEBA DE LA Y INSTRUMENTADA Y NO INSTRUMENTADA PARA LA ESTABILIDAD DE MIEMBRO INFERIOR EN POBLACIÓN SANA
(2025-02-26) Cisneros Morales, Angela Camila; Espín Pastor, Victoria Estefanía; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Fisioterapia
The present project was carried out with the purpose of comparing the instrumented and non-instrumented Y test for lower limb stability in a healthy population. The methodology of the study was a non-experimental design of cross-sectional type and quantitative approach, using the YBT - LQ instrumented and non-instrumented test in two weights (light and heavy). This evaluation was carried out with the participation of 100 healthy people from the parish La Matriz of the Pelileo canton who practiced sports such as soccer, basketball and volleyball. The results of this research showed a high correlation between both light (p=0.673) and heavy (p=0.654) versions. However, the heavy version presented slightly higher scores than the light version. The light version was similar to the results of the instrumented version. In conclusion, the noninstrumented YBT-LQ test in the heavy version as well as the light version show a significant relationship with the instrumented version of the YBT-LQ test.

EFECTO DEL EJERCICIO DE CALENTAMIENTO EN LA PREVENCIÓN DE LESIONES MUSCULARES
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Fisioterapia, 2024-08-27) Ullsco Tubón, Alexander Rodolfo; Arias Córdova, Paúl Adrián
Muscle injuries directly disrupt the muscle fiber, causing pain and physical disability, and are a common problem in both amateur and professional athletes, mostly occurring in the lower limbs. This study highlights the effectiveness of warm-up exercises or programs such as "FIFA 11+" that combine stretching, strength and balance exercises to reduce injuries in young athletes. For the research, a systematic review was conducted in March and April 2024, consulting academic databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Scielo, WoS, Elsevier and Google Scholar. Keywords such as "warm-up exercises" and "muscle injury prevention" were used. Inclusion and exclusion criteria ensured the relevance and quality of the selected studies. As results the regular implementation of these warm-up programs can significantly reduce the incidence of lower extremity muscle injuries. Evidence shows that these exercises prepare athletes physically and contribute to increased physical performance, such as speed, agility and balance, which helps to reduce the occurrence of injuries. Overall, this article highlights the importance of incorporating appropriate warm-up exercises into sports warm-up routines to prevent lower limb muscle injuries.

Evaluación funcional del miembro inferior en futbolistas
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Fisioterapia, 2022-09-01) López López, Freddy Israel; Espín Pastor, Victoria Estefanía, Lcda. MSc.
The present research work aims to analyze the functional strength of the lower limb of soccer players through functional tests such as the two-legged squat, single-legged squat and vertical jump, which are tests that allow knowing the functional strength as well as the explosive force of the lower limb. The research has a quantitative approach evaluating the muscle strength that is compromised in the activity of soccer players. The tests to be carried out are a standard that allows a quick evaluation in which data is obtained on functional strength as well as shortcomings presented by soccer players that are directly related to their performance both in training and in a match.

“Técnicas de prevención de lesiones, autoaplicadas por futbolistas del club deportivo el empalme del Cantón Quero.”
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Terapia Física, 2020-02-01) Valle Zavala, Nathaly Estefanía; Cobo Sevilla, Verónica de los Ángeles Lcda. MSc.
This research work aimed to identify injury prevention techniques, self-applied by footballers belonging to the Empalme sports club from the Quero canton. The project involved 32 participants who met the inclusion criteria. For the collection of data, a survey was prepared in which socio-demographic data, personal pathological antecedents were recorded, in addition to a questionnaire of five questions in which information was collected on the type of technique used, how and where he learned it and who suggested he perform it. In this investigation it was found that the techniques self-applied by the soccer players were: performing static stretching, heating, use of compression garments, hydration, application of knee and ankle bandages, self-massage, use of nettle, taking of an Apronax, use of shin guards, lion patch application and the use of two pairs of socks.

“Diferencias biomecánicas en el miembro inferior entre bailarines de ballet clásico y no bailarines”
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Física, 2019-02-01) Cárdenas Rodríguez, Melany Lisseth; Robalino Morales, Gabriela Estefanía Lcda. MSc.
Nowadays, classical ballet has become popular in such a way that girls and boys practice it from a very early age, despite the demand of this activity, for this reason the present research aims to compare the biomechanical differences of the lower member among ballet dancers and non-dancers; Within the methodology, a data collection form and two physiotherapy tests were used, such as goniometry to assess joint mobility and dynamometry to measure the strength of the muscle groups, which were applied to the joints that make up the lower limb. This study belongs to the line of investigation of Epidemiology and Public Health. This research has as scientific importance is to determine if the constant practice of classical ballet can cause biomechanical alterations in terms of joint mobility and long-term muscle strength in dancers. Furthermore, the information that is collected constitutes a basis for future research, since there are not many studies on this subject. The novelty of this project is based on the little or no knowledge on the part of the dancers and instructors about the effects produced in the biomechanics of the lower limb by the activity they practice; This study seeks that the ballet schools of the city of Ambato can define a better training strategy for all their students and thus avoid the number of injuries to which they are exposed daily.
