Item Propuesta de estrategias de prevención de enfermedades musculoesqueléticas en agricultores(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-10-12) Puente Rodríguez, Valeria Michelle; Herrera López, José LuisIntroduction: Agriculture is the rural occupation with the greatest exposure to physical load, so it has a greater risk of generating musculoskeletal diseases because they maintain uncomfortable or inadequate postures due to long working hours, heavy, repetitive, and monotonous work. Methodology: The research was quantitative, descriptive, and cross sectional. The OCRA questionnaire, which assesses exposure to repetitive movements of the upper limbs, and the probability of presenting related problems, was used. For the analysis, the statistical software SPSS version 24 for Windows was used, an analysis of the information required to establish a proposal for the prevention of musculoskeletal diseases in farmers was carried out, analyzing each risk factor to which they are exposed obtained from the applied questionnaire, and providing a strategy for each of them, translating this into a flowchart. Results: It was identified that at the level of the right and left arm, farmers present a high level of risk of presenting muscular pathologies (100%) due to work, in addition, of a total of 60 farmers, more than 70% present risk activities such as carrying out extensive work cycles, without respective breaks, with rapid movements, inadequate positions, weight gain, application of intense force or forced postures. Conclusion: A proposal was developed that contains strategies applicable in farmers, through the diagnosis of the ergonomic risks presented, and the level of risk of developing musculoskeletal diseases. Mg.Addressing the risk factors associated with musculoskeletal disorders in workebeen a topic widely discussed in recent years, there are worrying figures aboprevalence and incidence of this disorder and the little or no importance theygiven to mitigate its causes and consequences musculoskeletal disorders of labor ohave increased significantly in the last decade. They are the main health prorelated to work in all industrialized countries and one of the leading causes of absenteeism. Musculoskeletal injuries related to work are becoming more freque They are injuries that affect the muscles, tendons, bones, ligaments or interverdiscs. Most musculoskeletal injuries are not caused by accidents or aggressions unior isolated, but as a result of small and repeated trauma. The specialization of works has led to: • Increases in the pace of work, • Concentration of forces on the hands, wrists and shoulders, • Forced and maintained postures that cause static stress in various muscles. These factors are the cause of numerous problems in arms, neck and shoulders. The handling of heavy loads and in inadequate conditions is, on the other hand, one of the main causes of back injuriesItem “Riesgos de desarrollar trastornos musculoesqueléticos en el personal de corte de calzado evaluado a través del método rula de forma manual”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Terapia Física, 2018-09-01) Caiza Lema, Stalin Javier; Cobo Sevilla, Verónica de los Ángeles Lic. Msc.The development of the following research work aims to identify risks present in the workers of the manufacture of footwear within the area of manual cutting which have been classified as a vulnerable sector within the working class by factors such as poor positions that they involve muscle strain, excessive muscle load, finally subjected to vibrations repetitive movements that according to the literature are the factor to which there is greater exposure by workers who perform manual activities reason why musculoskeletal disorders are generated directly affected on the health of the worker, business productivity and becoming a social and health problem due to the high numbers of registered cases. The present investigation was developed with the participation of the footwear producing companies that make up the CALTU Ambato, which expressed their interest and full collaboration for the realization by making available all the companies for their socialization with the people who work in the area of Cut for the respective application of the instrument. The instrument used was the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA), which provided information on the level of intervention or intervention, classifying the cutting activity in different levels of risk and allowing them to be related to the presence of musculoskeletal disorders.
