Item IMPULSIVIDAD Y SATISFACCIÓN SEXUAL EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS(2025-03-06) Romero Ponce, Pamela de las Mercedes; Gavilanes Gómez, Guillermo Daniel; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología ClínicaAlthough sexuality is considered an important aspect of human life, there is a lack of current research on sexual satisfaction in Latin America, therefore this research aims to determine the relationship between impulsivity and sexual satisfaction. The study includes the participation of 300 university students from the city of Ambato-Ecuador. Since this is a non-experimental design research, quantitative approach and descriptive correlational scope, two psychometric instruments were applied to measure the study variables: the Barratt Impulsivity Scale (BIS-11) and the New Sexual Satisfaction Scale (NSSS). The results show a low negative correlation between the variables, implying that subjects with lower impulsivity also report higher sexual satisfaction. Regarding impulsivity, the majority of the sample presents a medium level (45.3%) and reports a high level of sexual satisfaction (47%). When comparing by sex, women (M=62.2) reflect a statistically higher level of sexual satisfaction than men (M=59). It is concluded that a lower level of impulsivity contributes to a greater stability promoting a more satisfactory sexual life.Item RESILIENCIA Y SATISFACCIÓN SEXUAL EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS(2025-03-05) Rojano Junta, Leonela Rosario; Lara Salazar, Cristina Mariela; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología ClínicaThe objective of this study was to determine the relationship between resilience and sexual satisfaction in university students, using a sample of 100 students from the faculty of Agricultural Sciences in an age range of 18 to 25 years, from an Ecuadorian university. The research had a quantitative, descriptive, correlational, non-experimental and crosssectional approach, using the Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale and the New Sexual Satisfaction Scale (NSSS). In terms of sexual satisfaction, 45% of the participants were very satisfied, 34% extremely satisfied and 21% satisfied, with no reported levels of dissatisfaction, in addition, a statistically significant difference was found in terms of the variable sexual satisfaction between men and women (U=913 p<0.05),Item RELIGIOSIDAD Y EXPLORACIÓN DE LA IDENTIDAD SEXUAL EN ADOLESCENTES(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-09-09) Zambrano Valencia, Lizeth Samantha; Sánchez Acosta, Adriana CarolinaIntroduction: Religiosity is a social entity that encompasses theology, a set of normative traditions, rituals, attitudes, values, or practices linked to a transcendent power. on the other hand, sexual identity is a multidimensional construct composed of gender identity, with sexual behaviors being an observable expression of an individual's sexuality. Objective: To determine the relationship between religiosity and exploration of sexual identity in adolescents. Methods: The study consisted of 130 adolescents aged 14 to 18 from the Pelileo, Tungurahua province, Ecuador. This sample was taken using non-probabilistic convenience sampling, with participants voluntarily agreeing to respond to the Sexual Identity Exploration Questionnaire and the Durel Scale to measure religiosity. This was done through a quantitative research approach, nonexperimental design, descriptive level with correlational scope, and cross-sectional design. Results: The results obtained in the selected population showed a mild positive correlation between religiosity and one dimension of sexual identity, which was gender identity. Conclusions: It was found that adolescents have a moderate level of religiosity, influenced by the environment and context of the population. Additionally, the calculation of the mean score in the dimensions of sexual identity, as well as the comparison of identity in males and females, did not yield statistically significant differences.Item Satisfacción sexual y estado de animo en estudiantes de posgrado(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-08-01) Puchaicela Carrasco, Alex Israel; Gavilanes Gómez, Guillermo Daniel Psc. Esp.One of the main reasons to use contraceptive methods is to avoid an unplanned pregnancy, very few take into consideration that they also need to prevent a Sexually Transmitted Infection. The use of double contraceptive protection is a form of safe sex, since through it an unplanned pregnancy can be avoided simultaneously, and a Sexually Transmitted Infection can be prevented. The objective of this research is: To determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices about contraception and how they influence the use of double contraceptive protection in students of the Medical School of the Technical University of Ambato. A study was carried out with a mixed approach: quantitative and qualitative, cross-sectional, field, the collection of information was carried out through an ethnographic survey applied to 230 students of the first, sixth and tenth semesters of the Medicine career. To determine the existence or not of independence, Pearson's Chi-square (x2) statistic was applied, the values of p <0.05 were considered significant. The results allow us to affirm that the level of knowledge about contraception possessed by medical students does not condition the preference or frequency of use of the double protection method. Regarding attitudes, these do not influence the use of double contraceptive protection; These results are maintained in all semesters of the study participants. While the practices on contraception and Sexually Transmitted Infection of first-semester medical students determine the preference or frequency of use of the double protection method. These results are not presented in the sixth and tenth semesters. Therefore, it can be concluded that knowledge and attitudes do not influence the use of double protection, while practices determine the preference or frequency of use of double contraceptive protection in first-semester students, but not in students. sixth semester and tenth semester.Item dinámica familiar en la adolescente embarazada de la comunidad de lasso-ecuador(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-03-01) Vizcaino Salvador, Corayma Lisette; Cusme Torres, Nadihezka Amanda Lic Mg.Introduction: Adolescent pregnancy is currently a public health problem that generates serious personal, social and economic consequences, with repercussions on the family, creating surprise, uncertainty and rejection Objetive: To determine the family dynamics in the pregnant adolescent of the community of Lasso-Ecuador.
