Item Condiciones de trabajo del personal de enfermería en la unidad de cuidados intensivos(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-10-11) Pruna Guanoluisa, Dayana Lisbeth; Gómez Bonilla, Narciza BeatrizThe working conditions in which nurses are exposed in the intensive care unit is considered as a high risk of effort towards each professional, whether physical, mental, psychological, economic depending on the different conditions, environment, environment in which they work intra and extra-work, The objective is to analyze the different working conditions of nursing staff in the intensive care unit. A study with a quantitative approach of a descriptive nature was proposed, for the collection of information of the present investigation a survey was used individually to the nurses of the General Hospital Ambato IESS, and as an instrument the evaluation of the working conditions of the personnel was applied. of nursing in services of high complexity, the same that was applied to 50 nurses of the service. In the results, it was observed that the working conditions presented by the nursing staff in the ICU are overloaded and with insufficient remuneration, since this mainly harms the state of physical, mental, emotional and psychological health, causing the decrease in personnel in the service. all of this causing increased stress and work overload, and thus contracting serious diseases in the short or long term. In conclusion, the working conditions of the nursing staff in the ICU There is a high percentage of stress, overload and illness in the nursing staff that is in the intensive care unit, so it is of vital importance that the health personnel Do your job to the best of your ability.Item Sobrecarga del cuidador de adultos mayores dependientes(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-03-01) Chango Morales, Viviana Nataly; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy Cristina Lcda. Mg.Introduction: Aging is a dynamic, progressive and irreversible process that results in multiple changes affecting the ability to perform daily activities on their own, therefore, older adults require a caregiver, that is, a person who dispenses care especially if they present disability or dependence. Objective: To determine the prevalence of caregiver overload in dependent older adults. Methodology: Quantitative, descriptive, crosssectional and field study. The population consisted of 90 primary caregivers of an older adult population to whom the Zarit test was applied after signing an informed consent form; being the census sample. For the collection of the information, the Declaration of Helsinki related to the ethical aspects of research with human beings was taken into account. Results: The highest percentage of caregivers were women who presented levels of intense overload. Conclusion: There is an intense overload in the study population, so it is important for health personnel to intervene to prevent this overload from affecting the caregiver's life and, therefore, that of the older adult.Item Síndrome de sobrecarga y calidad de vida del cuidador de pacientes con discapacidad en el primer nivel de atención(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Centro de Posgrados, 2022-03-01) Cárdenas Paredes, Diana Verónica Md.; Garcés Jerez, Katherine Elizabeth Md. Esp.The present research work aims to determine the influence of the overload syndrome on the quality of life of the caregiver of patients with disabilities in the first level of care. The care environment that is provided to a person with a disability demands great responsibility with total use of time to provide care to the dependent patient and with it the consequent work overload that in turn will produce negative effects on the physical, emotional, social and quality of life of the caregiver. The study methodology is quantitative, field, bibliographic and correlational. The study population is 50 caregivers of patients with disabilities belonging to the Pilahuín parish. The research techniques and instruments were the survey based on the WHO SF-36 questionnaire to establish the level of quality of life and the Zarit Test was used to determine which population of caregivers suffers from overload syndrome. The results determined that 76% present a medium- high level of quality of life, also 52% present mild overload, while 32% do not suffer from overload and 16% have severe overload. It is concluded that overload syndrome influences the quality of life of caregivers of patients with disabilities, there is asignificant relationship between the variables. Objective: to identify the level of stress overload in informal caregivers of cancer patients at home. Methods: a qualitative type of research was carried out, because it was based on having a conversation with the informal caregiver, the researcher interacted with the subjects of study obtaining answers to questions based on the experience of daily coexistence with the oncology patient. Likewise, information was collected through an interview with the primary caregiver, who answered several questions that were recorded with the permission of the individual interviewed. Results: emotions such as mental stress, physical and social overload were identified. In addition, it is established that the informal or primary caregiver spends an average of 6-24 hours a day on caregiving, whereby personal life has changed drastically, their daily activities are no longer carried out in the same order. Conclusion: it is concluded that stress overload in the informal caregiver of cancer patients in the home setting is caused by the drastic change in the caregiver's personal life, that is, the daily routine in combination with the care of the family member led to physical and social exhaustion.Item Vivencias del cuidador informal del paciente con covid-19 en la instancia domiciliaria en la parroquia de Quisapincha cantón Ambato(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-09-01) Freire Coronado, Jennifer Katherine; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy Cristina Dra.SARS-CoV-2 is an RNA virus that is part of the coronaviridae family that is related to wild animals such as bats and intermediary reservoirs such as the pangolin, snakes and minks. This irus produces the illness better known as COVID-19. The analysis of the informal caregiver’s experiences handling a patient positive for COVID-19 and its work overload, also the methods used to face the issue. A thorough qualitative, description investigation was conducted, with a proper field design. The research focus were the family members of COVID-19 patients from the parish of Quisapincha, whom were also the informal caregivers. The research data was obtained via semi-structured interviews done to ten participants; the pertinent criteria related to the quality and data adequacy, also the overflow of unnecessary information. The analysis was performed following the rules of the fundamental theory of data. The ethical principles of autonomy were protected, respect and confidentiality of the information given. In this study, the overload of the COVID-19 patients’ caregivers was low, this was because their focus was not on the negative. Their focus was in the love they have for their family member and using different strategies to face the virus so the patient’s quality of life is not affected. Through the informant’s stories, it was conclusive that these caregivers did not suffer from work overload during the COVID-19 patient’s care; they also demonstrated their feelings love and family unity.Item “Estrategias de afrontamiento y sobrecarga en el cuidador de niños con discapacidad intelectual”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2017-07-01) Toapanta Avilés, Lenin Israel; Guzmán Hallo, Byron Miguel Ps. Cl.The present investigation had as objective to determine the influence of the coping strategies and the overload of the caregiver of children with intellectual disability of the Foundation of Special Children of San Miguel. Coping strategies are a set of cognitive and behavioral processes that are developed in situations of threat or stressors; the evaluation of coping strategies was done through the Coping Strategies Inventory, which evaluates eight types of coping strategies. On the other part, the caregiver's overload is the emotional and physical exhaustion in the presence of stressful situations related to the care of a person. The Caretaker Overload scale provides a global result, allowing you get the respective overload levels. Applied to 50 caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities. For the data analysis, the SPSS statistical program was used through the X2 test, obtaining an exact chi square significance (0.270> 0.05), checking the independence of the variables, therefore, there is no relationship between the variables. The work has a qualitative approach, descriptive level and mode field. We worked with a sample of 147 care givers chosen at grilling, in whom a survey base don the SF-36 questionnaire that assesses the dimensions of quality of life (physical, emotional wellbeing, economic well being, relationships and self-determination) towasapplie dover patient demographics and care giver.
