The objective of the study focuses on describing the perception of pregnant women aboutanxiety and depression disorders and the use of alternative therapies. Methods: The research has a qualitative design, a narrative phenomenological, and an in-depth semi-structured interview of 10 questions, carried out in Ambato-Tungurahua with 10 pregnant university women. The autor presented the results showing that the participants know the symptoms of anxiety and have sometimes suffered from them without it considerably affecting their life, they manage the use of alternative therapy on their own andmention that it has been very helpful. help to relax, they also stated that at the level of the Ministry of Health they are not educated on this issue. The results of this study have managed to meet the objectives established at the beginning of the research, with the potential to contribute significantly to the well-being of future mothers and children.Item VITAMINA D: UNA TERAPIA COADYUVANTE EN EL MANEJO DE COVID-19(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Medicina, 2024-06-10) Yánez Chicaiza, Edith Yesenia; Galarza Galarza, Cinthia KatherineObjective: to determine how Vit-D acts at the immune system level reducing the risk of severity by COVID-19. Methods: Descriptive observational study. Results and conclusions: The defensive role of Vit-D against respiratory system related infections is demonstrated in clinical trials. Supplementation is suggested to maintain optimal circulating levels in the body. There is evidence of a significant association between Vit-D insufficiency/deficiency and susceptibility to COVID-19 and its severity. Therefore, Vit-D supplementation is suggested to maintain a serum concentration greater than 30 ng/mL to reduce the risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection and its consequences. MScThe objective of this project is to determine the effect of the application of the visual sensory stimulation strategy based on the Perfetti method on balance in older adults of the Quisapincha parish. This research has a qualitative-quantitative research approach of longitudinal descriptive type with the participation of 20 older adults, 3 of them were male and 17 were female. In this study, balance and gait evaluations were performed before and after the Perfetti Method intervention. This evaluation allowed us to know the level of risk of falling and the level of independence capacity to which the older adults belonged. The evaluation scales applied were the TUG test and the Berg balance scale and the intervention was based on the Perfetti Method with visual sensory stimulation, in which 8 weeks of intervention were worked. According to the Perfetti Method intervention in older adults, it was possible to see a change according to the established tests, a large percentage that belonged to the group of medium risk of falls went on to belong to a group of low risk of falls, implying a better quality of life. In conclusion, the Perfetti method allows us to recover through the central nervous system by means of sensory stimulation. Movement, attention and visualization are part of the process of recognition of the environment to the body, which is the means for the reception of information through the body surface and it is possible to obtain a response for the functional recovery of the participantItem “La musicoterapia en el desarrollo psicomotriz de los niños de 4 años”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Estimulación Temprana, 2020-02-01) Santana Bonilla, Karen Beatriz; Troya Ortiz, Elsa Verónica Lcda. Mg.In this research project entitled "MUSIC THERAPY IN THE PSYCHOMOTRIC DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN OF 4 YEARS", we will find important information on the use of music therapy and the benefits they have in the evolutionary development of children, since music It has been used since ancient times to prevent diseases and as a treatment for them in the case of people with Alzheimer's disease, children who have characteristics of the different syndromes and also in people with normal development since through music they Get a balance of body, soul and emotions. In early childhood the use of music therapy influences the psychomotor, sensorimotor, and intellectual and language development, since during the birth the first neuronal pruning occurs and the neurons adapt to the acquisition of new learning especially to adapt in the outside world, upon receiving the sound stimuli, children acquire learning and knowledge that will serve them in the future. During psychomotor development, early stimulation is important as it allows and helps the child to evolve in a better way the skills and abilities that correspond to the age of the evolutionary development that he presents, therefore if there is a delay in the acquisition of an item motor, a treatment plan must be created according to the needs of the child and be able to develop it until the acquisition of said item is achieved.
