The present experimental research work is to determine correlations between the mechanical properties and indexes in granular soils of Totoras and Montalvo parishes. Prior to the collection of samples, a visual exploration was carried out to identify the most representative routes and that present greater feasibility for the extraction of soil through open pit wells. The sample collection was carried out individually in each parish,selecting three routes and then performing two open pit wells and the respective fields trials such as the Dinamyc Cone Penetrometer (DCP), specific density with the Ottawa Cone and Sand Method. For laboratory tests, 50 kilogram samples were extracted, soil needed to carry out tests such as: Granulometry, Atterberg Limits (Liquid and Plastic Limit), Modified Proctor B, Specific Gravity and Support Ratio of California (CBR). The correlations were obtained by linear regression and by least squares, for two and three variables respectively.
