The purpose of this study is to implement a process of conservation of the structure of the rolling layer of the Quero - Salasaca road in the section Km 3 + 600 to Km 6 + 780 of the Province of Tungurahua, to generate this is It is necessary to know certain characteristics of the road, for which field data was collected as a laboratory that will allow us to know the current state of the road and based to these results a maintenance plan will be implemented which will allow the road to maintain appropriate levels of serviceability for the users. In order to determine the current state of the road, the following steps were taken: first the vehicular flow of the road was counted during one week, for twelve hours a day, with this the Annual Average Daily Traffic (TPDA) was calculated. A record of the faults and the level of severity of the same in the tread layer was made by the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method. With the test of the Benkelman beam deflection values were obtained with which the state of the subgrade and the asphalt folder can be known, and the soil study was carried out to determine the (CBR) of the samples and calculate the support of the layers. In addition, a georeferenced survey of the road was carried out to locate each one of the tests carried out and it was reflected in the plans. With the result of each of the tests, they are compared with each other to determine how deep is the existing damage in the road and to establish, if it is necessary or not to implement the maintenance plan.
