    Desarrollo de un software para el cálculo de canales abiertos de flujo uniforme

    The present research contains the codification of a software to calculate open channels with uniform flow, which allows to obtain of fast and safe way the normal depth, critical depth, geometric elements, flow, optimal hydraulic section, Froude number, flow type and specific energy of the sections given by Ven Te Chow. The sections are: rectangular, trapezoidal, triangular, circular, parabolic, rectangular with rounded corners and triangular with rounded bottom. To test the validity of the developed program the results were compared with those obtained through an existing software which was HCANALES and those obtained manually; with what was obtained a margin of error less than 1% with which was verified that the values given by the software are trustworthy.
