Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2021-09) Orozco Analuiza, Luis Javier; Portilla Yandún, Favio PaúlThe objective of this project is to improve the road that connects the community of Ambatillo Alto with Cerro Pilishurco in order to provide better roads for tourists and the local population that visit the natural viewpoint of the canton of Ambato; through the application of the MTOP - 2003 regulations, the horizontal, vertical and transversal geometric design of the road was carried out, including soil studies, topographic surveys, traffic studies, pavement design, and the preparation of a reference budget for the execution of this project. The traffic study was carried out in the field by means of manual counts and a TPDA of 243 vehicles/day was determined for a design period of 20 years, classifying the road as a type IV country road. With the data obtained in the soil studies, a flexible pavement structure composed of sub-base, base and asphalt layers is proposed under the application of the AASHTO- 93 methodology; hydraulic designs of ditches and culverts are presented, as well as a traffic study where the correct location of both vertical and horizontal signage is shown. Finally, a referential budget is calculated with its technical specifications and volumes of work according to the activities to be executed in the construction process of this project. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2021-03) De La Cruz Remache, Wilson Fabian; Moreira Cedeño, Fricson LutgardoThe following technical research project was developed, in order to improve the mobility of the inhabitants of the sector as well as to improve the economic activity that this road represents. The recognition of the place was carried out, to later carry out the topographic survey of the road, and through the study of soils it was determined and identified each of the properties of the soil along the road, carrying out laboratory tests in which applied the different technical standards for its study, such as the ASSHTO method and the ASTM standard, since with the soil studies the design of the pavement structure is carried out. Vehicular traffic was counted to identify the type of road according to the number of vehicles that circulate on it based on the regulations of the Ministry of Public Works, thus allowing us to classify our road as type III. Finally, the analysis of unit prices was carried out, which together with the elaboration of a valued work schedule, it was possible to determine the referential budget and identify the execution time of the technical project. Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2019) Otañez Molina, Alex Javier; Moreira Cedeño, Fricson LutgardoThe objective of the research project is to implement a road conservation management system related to the pavement structure of the Montalvo - Cevallos in the section Km 2 + 400 to Km 5 + 800, since there is evidence of deterioration of the rolling, that is to say, the existence of a management system that would provide safety for road users is not reflected. For the evaluation of the pavement structure the method of the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) was used by means of a visual inspection, determining the values according to the type of failure presented at the asphalt folder level with a High, Medium and Low severity allowing to know the current state of the road, later using the non-destructive Benkelman Beam Test (deflections), the plan for reinforcing the pavement structure was developed, since it allows us to obtain real data on the behavior of the layers that make up the pavement structure. are: Base, Sub-Base, Subgrade. To compare the data, samples were extracted from each of the layers and used for laboratory analysis using Granulometry, Consistency Limits, Modified Proctor Density and CBR Compaction tests, resulting in the mechanical characteristics of the materials that make up the material. the structure of the pavement. By means of the traffic count, the equivalent axes were determined to be used for a later pavement design analysis and allowing to reach a reinforcement of the structure of the Montalvo - Cevallos road in the Abscissa K2 + 400 to K 5 + 800.
