Item Desarrollo de una aplicación para el cálculo y diseño de canales abiertos de diferentes secciones hidraúlicas(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2021-03) Tipán Chancusi, Alex Vinicio; Morales Fiallos, Fabián RodrigoThe purpose of this technical work is the development of a mobile application for the Android system. The purpose is to design open channels which allows to speed up the process of calculations with exact and precise results such as in the case of geometric elements, flow, sections optimal, normal depth critical depth you can calculate channels in sections such as: rectangular, trapezoidal, triangular, circular, parabolic, rectangular with rounded corners, triangular with rounded bottom. We can also obtain specific results such as: speed, froude number, type of flow, specific energy among others along with the formulas proposed by Ven Te Chow. The encoding of this application was done in Netbeans64 and Android Studio. The efficiency of this mobile application in an Android environment is acceptable and checks were carried out with different software such as: SN CHANNELS, HydroEolm Channels and the manual method. A margin of error less than 0.5 percent could be determined, which makes this mobile application more reliable.Item Desarrollo de un software específico para el cálculo de canales abiertos de flujo uniforme considerando los principios de energía(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2018) López López, Liliana Lizbeth; Morales Fiallos, Fabián RodrigoThe present research contains the codification of a specific software to calculate open channels with uniform flow, considering the principles of energy, it allows to obtain easily and safely the normal depth, critical depth, geometric elements, flow rate, optimal hydraulic section proposed by Ven Te Chow, such as: rectangular, trapezoidal, triangular, circular, parabolic, rectangular with rounded corners and triangular with rounded bottom. Additionally, the geometric elements for any equation of the parabola, the highlight hydraulic and landfills. In order to validate the SN CANALES v2.0L software, the results obtained by using the existing software HCANALES were compared to the ones obtained by the proposed software and hand calculation step by step. The sections are: rectangular, trapezoidal, triangular, circular, parabolic, rectangular with rounded corners and triangular with rounded bottom. To test the validity of the developed program the results were compared with those obtained through an existing software which was HCANALES and those obtained manually; with what was obtained a margin of error less than 1% with which was verified that the values given by the software are trustworthy.
