    Estudio y diseño de la red de agua potable para el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de los habitantes de las fumarolas parroquia Calpi del Cantón Riobamba de la provincia de Chimborazo

    The design of a drinking water system has the main mission of improving the quality of life of the inhabitants from the sector involved, by virtue of which the system is considered a basic service in all population of the world. To obtain the physical chemical and microbiological characteristics of the water, has been made the caption of water from the slope, as a result the vital liquid is suitable for consumption, which will be disinfected with chorine to eliminate the microorganisms present. For the design, a topographic study was carried out in order to define the conditions of the land, as well the location, lengths and area of the project. The design period, population forecasting and the population density calculations were made with the help of data provided by National Institute of Statistics and Censuses. The project has the design of the conduction and distribution indicating the diameters and types of pipes, calculation of pressures and storage volume attaching its respective reference budget and the technical specifications that involve for the construction and execution of the project.

    A topographic study was realized to define the conditions of the area, location, total area of project, lengths, earrings, the important points where taking the line of conduction. There was realized in addition the installation of provisional meters for capture of readings, across which there decided a volume of daily consumption for each of the users. To know the characteristics physicist - chemistry and microbiological of the water to being distributed, one took water samples directly from the slope to send it to analyze, giving like proved a liquid in suitable conditions to consume, with the only need to disinfect it using chlorine to eliminate the small percentage of pathogenic present microorganisms. In the stage of design they needed besides the information before mentioned, information as population of design, period of design and population density, to determine dimensions of pipelines, calculation of pressures and volume of storage. This project possesses the analysis of unitary prices to determine the referential budget and the chronogram valued of work with his respective curve of investment, determining the expectations by which the project was realized.

    Elaboración de un manual técnico de especificaciones constructivas de un proyecto de captación y red de distribución de agua potable

    The present article is a summary of a technical manual of construction specifications for a catchment project and distribution network of drinking wáter, for the supply of vital liquid to communities located in rural areas with a beneficiary population of up to 10 000 inhabitants. The work is intended to serve as a guide for civil engineering professionals in charge of the execution of drinking water projects. With a focus on improving quality and health, the areas required for the execution of this type of infrastructure were established, based on the documentary review of projects carried out previously. At the same time, the estimated costs demanded the execution of the project were established. The study determined the general budget to carry out this kind of work is 1,714,404.11 USD, at 2017, considering that it is necessary to build work of capture, driving, tank ruptures pressure, reserve tank and distribution infrastructure. Among the most representative items are water meters, household connections, PVC pipes, machine excavation and compacted filling. In each of the items, the indirect costs were increased by 1%, a percentage that will be allocated for the job security of the workers involved in the execution of the work.
