Item Evaluación de la estabilidad de sitio para la estructura de la unidad educativa Oscar Efrén Reyes perteneciente al distrito 18D03, cantón Baños(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica, Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2023-08) Naula López, Johnny Alexander; Pérez Maldonado, Ruth LorenaIn the present experimental project, an investigation is carried out with the purpose of evaluating the existing seismic hazard in the Oscar Efrén Reyes Educational Unit as well as in the houses surrounding the study area. For the research process, the tectonic regime was determined according to the analysis zone, the active faults near the study point were identified and used, in addition, four soil analyses were performed by means of the Standard Penetration Test (SPT), and from the data obtained, the shear wave velocity was calculated identifying the type of soil profile with the help of the table present in NEC 15. The data obtained were used in the ground motion prediction equations (GMPEs), resulting in the acceleration spectra for the five faults selected by each author, from which a specific deterministic spectrum was determined for the zone by means of an envelope, which was compared with the response established by NEC 15. The accelerations given by the deterministic spectrum of the structures in comparison with the spectral acceleration established by NEC 15 is higher considering that they are within the same time period interval.Item Estudio de peligro sísmico determinista para las estructuras del cantón Ambato – parroquia La Merced – sector Cashapamba y barrio Jesús Obrero – ubicado en las avenidas Unidad Nacional, Cevallos, Julio Enrique Paredes, Julián Coronel, Humberto Albornoz, Vicente Maldonado y Cristóbal Colón(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica. Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2019) Galarza Barrionuevo, Lenin Andrés; Garcés Chávez, Juan EnriqueIn the present research project, the evaluation of a deterministic spectrum was carried out based on the selected faults that affect the study area with the spectrum proposed by the NEC-2015. The analysis was performed in 3 structures of the place where its vibration period was calculated, corresponding to the acceleration Sa (g) of each spectrum. To carry out this analysis, the standard penetration test was performed in 5 places, where the soil was classified as sand and the Nspt value was obtained to be applied in empirical equations that allow to calculate the average speed of the shear wave Vs30 of the soil profile, 5 geological faults capable of producing a significant terrain movement were taken into account, based on the source-site distance of the study the magnitude of moment for each fault was calculated based on the WellsCoppersmith methodology, by Using parameters such as distance to the epicenter, focal depth, the soil movement prediction equations (GMPs) were used: Akkar and Bommer (2010), Boore and Atkinson (2008), Kanno (2006), Youngs (1997) and Zhao (2006) obtaining acceleration spectra and through an envelope of all the acceleration spectra a specific spectrum of maximum accelerations is obtained which is compared with the spectrum of the NEC15. Individually it can be said that the Fault of Ambato with a value Mw = 6.5, is the most critical for the study area since it has a closeness of 2.4 km being this the lowest. The accelerations given by the specific spectrum for buildings that have structural periods between 0.10sec - 0.5sec are greater than those obtained according to the NEC-15.Item Estudio del peligro sísmico determinista para las estructuras del cantón Ambato sector Huachi Loreto ubicado en la avenida las Américas, avenida El Rey, avenida Bolivariana y Camino El Rey(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería Civil y Mecánica. Carrera de Ingeniería Civil, 2019) Cevallos Pilco, Talía Alexandra; Medina Robalino, Wilson SantiagoIn the present research work, a specific spectrum was found for Huachi Loreto sector determining the parameters needed in acceleration by using the Ground Movement Prediction Equations GMPE's for the regimes that dominate the study area (Cortical Regime and Subduction). These equations are based fundamentally on the most representative seismic characteristics such as: Cutting Wave Speed Vs30, Type of Fault, Seismic Moment Moment Magnitude Mw, Focal Depth and Joyner-Boore Distance which is the closest distance to the surface projection of the fault RJB. Once the different spectra were obtained, an envelope was generated which collects the maximum acceleration values calculated in the different periods, which were compared with those established by the NEC-15 to later analyze the critical intervals in which the Deterministic Spectrum exceeds the of the regulations. Subsequently, the incidence of the Specific Spectrum found for the study site was analyzed in the structural behavior of 3 buildings built in that area, comparing the results obtained with the regulations (NEC-15).
