| dc.description | The present project focuses on the creation of utilitarian clothing through functional design, aiming to improve the quality of life for individuals who use hand prostheses. Various materials will be explored for the development of a textile liner that meets the needs and requirements of users, ensuring both aesthetics and functionality without compromising the performance of the prosthesis. To achieve this, collaboration will take place with textile engineers who will assist in determining the most suitable materials for the development of the liner. Comprehensive testing will be conducted to ensure that the selected materials meet the necessary standards for comfort and durability. It is expected that the results of this project will significantly contribute to enhancing the use of prostheses in the country, promoting the health and comfort of users. Additionally, innovative alternatives will be offered within the Ecuadorian market, thus driving economic and social development in this sector. | dc.description.abstract | El presente proyecto se enfoca en la creación de indumentaria utilitaria mediante el diseño funcional, con el objetivo de mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas que utilizan prótesis de mano. Se explorarán diversos materiales para el desarrollo de un liner textil que satisfaga las necesidades y requerimientos del usuario, garantizando tanto la estética como la funcionalidad sin comprometer el rendimiento de la prótesis. Para lograr esto, se trabajará en colaboración con ingenieros textiles que ayudarán a determinar los materiales más adecuados para el desarrollo del liner. Se realizarán pruebas exhaustivas para asegurar que los materiales seleccionados cumplan con los estándares necesarios de confort y durabilidad. Se espera que los resultados de este proyecto contribuyan significativamente a mejorar el uso de prótesis en el país, promoviendo la salud y comodidad de los usuarios. Además, se ofrecerán alternativas innovadoras dentro del mercado ecuatoriano, lo que impulsará el desarrollo económico y social en este sector.
