La desconexión moral y su relación con la empatía en personas privadas de la libertad

| dc.description | La violencia ha aumentado exponencialmente durante los últimos años como consecuencia, la población carcelaria ha crecido, teniendo repercusión no sólo a nivel social, sino también en la salud mental de la población. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue identificar si existe relación entre la desconexión moral y la empatía en personas privadas de la libertad. Se desarrolló un estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, correlacional y transversal. Se contó con una muestra de 96 personas privadas de la libertad mayores de 18 años que están recluidos en una cárcel del Ecuador, a quienes se les aplicó el cuestionario de Desconexión Moral (MDS) y el Índice de Reactividad Interpersonal (IRI). Se encontró que la Justificación Moral y la Toma de Perspectiva son los mecanismos que se correlacionan de manera leve pero inversa, los demás mecanismos que componen ambas variables no se correlacionaron. Al parecer las personas privadas de la libertad no toman en cuenta la perspectiva del otro tendiendo a justificar a nivel cognitivo su comportamiento que puede ser reprochable. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Violence has increased exponentially in recent years as a consequence, the prison population has grown, having repercussions not only on a social level, but also on the mental health of the population. The objective of this research was to identify whether there is a relationship between moral disengagement and empathy in persons deprived of liberty. A quantitative, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional study was carried out. A sample of 96 persons deprived of liberty over 18 years of age, held in a prison in Ecuador, were administered the Moral Disconnection Questionnaire (MMD) and the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI). Moral Justification and Perspective Taking were found to be the mechanisms that correlated slightly but inversely, the other mechanisms that make up both variables were not correlated. It appears that persons deprived of liberty do not take into account the perspective of the other tending to justify at a cognitive level their behavior that may be reproachable. | es_ES |
