dc.descriptionLa presente investigación busca determinar la relación entre inteligencia emocional y depresión de los estudiantes en la Universidad Técnica de Ambato de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud de la carrea de Medicina, se trabajó con estudiantes de primer semestre de la carrera de medicina con una población y muestra de 85 estudiantes, entre 18 y 22 años, quienes fueron evaluados mediante el Inventario de la Inteligencia Emocional de Barón la misma que brinda un resultado general permitiendo obtener los niveles de inteligencia emocional y la Autoevaluación de depresión de Zung que permite determinar el nivel de depresión. Para el análisis de datos se utilizó el programa del SPSS a través de la prueba X2 y la significancia exacta del chi cuadrado 0.632>0.05, determinando la independencia de cada una de las variables es decir que no existen relación entre las mismas.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThis research seeks to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and depression of students at the Technical University of Ambato of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the area of Medicine, worked with students of the first semester of the medical career with a population and sample of 85 students, between 18 and 22 years old, who were evaluated through the Inventory of Emotional Intelligence of Baron, which provides a general result allowing to obtain the levels of emotional intelligence and the self-evaluation of depression of Zung that allows to determine the level of depression. For data analysis, the SPSS program was used through the X2 test and the exact significance of the chi square 0.632> 0.05, determining the independence of each of the variables. It means that there is no relationship between themes_ES
