dc.descriptionLa investigación se realizó en el cantón Patate, en el sector Mundung, provincia de Tungurahua, con el propósito de evaluar la eficiencia de tres tipos de trampas (Mcphail, botellas plásticas y Jackson) para capturar mosca de la fruta. Se empleó un diseño experimental de bloques al azar con tres repeticiones por tipo de trampa. Los datos se analizaron mediante prueba de Chi cuadrado, obteniendo un total de 425 individuos capturados, siendo 219 hembras y 206 machos, la trampa con mayor captura de moscas de la fruta fue la trampa Jackson llegando a tener un resultado < 0,00001 siendo altamente sigficativo (**) en la captura por sexo, gracias a su feromona como fuente de atracción, superando en capturas a los otros tipos de trampas. En conclusión, la trampa Jackson demostró ser las más eficiente para el control de mosca de la fruta en un menor tiempo. dc.description.abstractThe research was carried out in the Patate canton, in the Mundung sector, Tungurahua province, with the purpose of evaluating the efficiency ofthree types of traps (Mcphail, plastic bottles and Jackson) to capture fruit flies. A randomized block experimental design was used with three repetitions per type of trap. The data were analyzed using the Chi square test, obtaining a total of 425 individuals captured, 219 females and 206 males, the trap with the highest capture of fruit flies was the Jackson trap, having a result of < 0.00001, being highly significant (**) in capture by sex, thanks to its pheromone as a source of attraction, surpassing other types of traps in captures.
