Abstract

The present research project with the theme "Nursing interventions and their influence on the emotional coping of the mothers of newborns hospitalized in the Neonatology service of the Ambato General Hospital", the general objective was "to determine how the interventions of Nursing influence the emotional coping of mothers of newborns hospitalized in the neonatology service of the Ambato General Hospital (IESS). " This research had a quantitative approach with a methodological field study and descriptive-correlational in which a total of 20 nurses who work in the Neonatology service of the Ambato General Hospital (IESS) and 22 mothers of hospitalized newborns participated. sample was 100% of the population under study. The observation guide was applied to the nursing staff, while the instrument scale of the level of stress perceived by the parents was applied to the mothers of newborns hospitalized in the Neonatology service. At the end of the investigation, the non-Chi square test was applied, in which the hypothesis was accepted and it was concluded that nursing interventions do influence the emotional coping of the mothers of hospitalized newborns.
