dc.descriptionThe main objective of this project is editorial design for the composition of books that disseminate the cultural heritage of Ambato. There is a significant loss of Ambato's cultural identity due to increasing globalization and cultural homogenization. This initiative aims to promote and preserve the city's rich cultural heritage, fostering a sense of belonging and awareness about its protection through editorial design, including photography, graphic design, composition, and layout. The project employed a qualitative approach, involving interviews with professionals in Editorial Design, photography, and Cultural Heritage experts. Additionally, a quantitative approach was used through a survey targeting Ambato residents to understand their knowledge and perceptions of local cultural heritage.es_ES
dc.description.abstractEl objetivo principal de este proyecto es el diseño editorial para la composición de libros que difundan el patrimonio cultural de Ambato. Se observa una gran pérdida de la identidad cultural ambateña debido a la creciente globalización y homogeneización cultural. Esta iniciativa busca promover y conservar la rica herencia cultural de la ciudad, fomentando un sentido de pertenencia y conciencia sobre la importancia de su protección mediante el diseño editorial, que incluye fotografía, diseño gráfico, composición y diagramación. Para su desarrollo, se aplicó un enfoque cualitativo que incluyó entrevistas con profesionales en Diseño Editorial, fotografía y expertos en Patrimonio Cultural. Asimismo, se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo mediante una encuesta dirigida a los habitantes de Ambato, con el fin de comprender sus conocimientos y percepciones sobre el patrimonio cultural local.es_ES
