Caracterización de la curva de consumo diario de la red de agua potable del sector Pishilata I del cantón Ambato

Abstract

The objective of this experimental work is to characterize the daily consumption curve of the drinking water network of the Pishilata I sector of the city of Ambato. In this project, a set of procedures is carried out to collect the necessary information to know the real data about the consumption habits of water resources. This investigation is based on the realization of surveys to the users of the sector, as well as, in the daily and hourly measurement of the flows consumed in each property, measurements that were made with photographic equipment. Finally, the measurement of the water pressures of the sector under study was carried out using a device composed mainly of a manometer. As a result, it was determined that the average value of daily consumption of drinking water in Pishilata I is 0.946 m3, as well as the georeferencing of the sector, determining that the type of property that characterizes the Pishilata I sector is the single family residence with 69 % of the total sample, followed this, it is the two-family residence with 15% and the remaining 16% is made up of properties such trade, building housing, municipal and educational. On the other hand, it was determined that the average per capita potable water demand of the Pishilata I sector is 199.12 L and the average value of the number of consumers per household is 5 users.
