(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Fisioterapía, 2022-03-01) Álvarez Valencia, Melissa Joana; Espín Pastor, Victoria Estefanía Lic. MSc.
Students in pre-military training in their preparation as aspirants perform different types of exercises, including strength exercises, which are often performed in the wrong way and make them more prone to injury. That is why the present study has been carried out, which aims to evaluate the movement of students in military pretraining. This research is of a quantitative type, since by means of the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and its scoring scale, we seek to obtain significant statistical data. In addition, the participants signed an informed consent form. Likewise, correlations were made between the final score of the FMS and variables such as pain during training and training time, which showed a significant relationship with the final score, giving significant scores of p=0.000 and p=0.029 respectively. In conclusion, it was possible to know that a large percentage of students have a high risk of suffering an injury, and that they should correct certain compensatory patterns, in order to avoid future injuries.
