Item Estrés académico y su relación con la resiliencia en adolescentes(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2023-04-18) Corrales Fernández, Holguer Geovanny; Gaibor Gonzalez, Ismael AlvaroAcademic stress is known as an increase of tension in students due to different factors present at the time of learning, causing damage to their mental health. On the other hand, resilience is a person's ability to cope with difficulties, which could be related to academic stress. The aim of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between these variables in adolescents. For this purpose, 120 adolescent students from the city of Salcedo - Ecuador, between 14 and 17 years of age, used the Systemic Cognitive Inventory (SISCO SV21 Inventory) and the Wagnild & Young Resilience Scale. In the results it was found that most of the adolescents presented levels of academic stress between moderate and severe, in addition, significant differences were observed in gender since the female gender presented greater stress, on the other hand, it was found that most adolescents presented degrees of resilience between very low and medium. Finally, a slight positive correlation was obtained between the two variables, which means that as academic stress increases, so does resilience.Item FORTALEZAS DE CARÁCTER Y RESILIENCIA EN ADOLESCENTES(2025-03-05) Morejón Buenaño, Karol Valentina; Gaibor Gonzalez, Ismael Alvaro; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología ClínicaCharacter strengths and resilience have been key points in the study of positive psychology, which is why this study aimed to analyze the relationship between these two variables. For this purpose, a descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out, in which a sample of 120 adolescents from an educational institution in the city of Ambato, Ecuador, was taken. The Brief Adolescent Strengths Scale (VIA-YOUTH) by Park and Peterson and the Resilience Scale by Wagnild and Young were applied to the sample. As results obtained, using the statistical program Jamovi 2.3.28, the Shapiro Wilk normality test and the Spearman correlation test, it was indicated that there is a slight to moderate positive correlation between the variables of character strengths and resilience. With the results presented, it is concluded that, as character strengths increase in value, resilience tends to rise. In addition, the total sample obtained high mean scores in the strengths: gratitude, solidarity, teamwork and perseverance, as well as high levels of resilience. Although women showed higher mean resilience scores than men, this difference was not statistically significant.Item INSATISFACCIÓN CORPORAL Y DEPENDENCIA EMOCIONAL EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS(2025-03-06) Vargas Anguisaca Yadira Nataly; Gaibor Gonzalez, Ismael Alvaro; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología ClínicaBody dissatisfaction is the discontent of the actual image versus the ideal one, while emotional dependence involves the intense need for affection that generates obsessive thoughts and submissive behaviors. Both phenomena can affect the overall well-beingof the individual. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between body dissatisfaction and emotional dependence in university students. The study had a quantitative approach of non-experimental design, crosssectional, descriptive-correlational scope. The sample consisted of 196 university students, 79 men and 117 women ranging from 18 to 38 years of age. The Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ) adapted by Martinez and Quishpe in 2021 and the Emotional Dependence Questionnaire (CDE) adapted by Brito and Gonzales in 2016 were used. The findings showed a moderate positive correlation between the variables; more than half of the participants presented low levels of body dissatisfaction and emotional dependence. As for the mean body dissatisfaction scores, there were statistically significant differences according to sex, being higher in women.Item INTERVENCIONES PSICOLÓGICAS POSITIVAS PARA LA PREVENCIÓN DEL RIESGO SUICIDA: UNA REVISIÓN SISTEMÁTICA(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-09-09) Navarrete Aime, Andrea Margarita; Gaibor Gonzalez, Ismael AlvaroSuicide represents a m ental health problem that has been addressed in different ways over time, being important those that focus on strengthening protective factors. In this context, the present systematic review aimed to determine the effectiveness of positive psychological interventions for the prevention of suicidal risk. For this purpose, a literature search was carried out in databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of science, Scielo and Dialnet, following the methodological guidelines of PRISMA. Inclusion criteria included; studies since 2017, empirical research, clinical trials or randomized controlled trials, as well as articles written in English or Spanish that included pre-and postintervention measures. Papers that were systematic reviews, meta -analyses or cross-sectional studies were excluded. Eight relevant studies were obtained from the analysis, which revealed that positive psychological interventions were able to reduce suicidal risk; this finding underscores the im portance of continuing to address and deepen this issue.Item Mindfulness y percepción de éxito(2021-03-01) Ortiz Velasteguí, Alexei Dimitrof; Gaibor Gonzalez, Ismael AlvaroObjetivo de esta investigación fue analizar las relación entre el nivel de Mindfulness y La percepción de Éxito en los futbolistas del Club Deportivo Macará de primera categoría Serie A, de la Liga Profesional de futbol de Ecuador 2020. La muestra estuvo conformada por 26 futbolistas, a los que se les aplicó el cuestionario FFMQ para determinar el nivel Mindfulness, con las dimensiones: Observación, Descripción, Actuar con Conciencia, No Enjuiciamiento y No Reactividad y el cuestionario POSQ en el cual se evaluó el nivel de Percepción de Éxito, que tiene dos dimensiones Orientación al Ego y Orientación a la Tarea, ambas pruebas se aplicaron antes y después de aplicar un ejercicio de Mindfulness se analizaron los datos, encontrando que si existió relación entre las variables en la aplicación después del ejercicio, de esta manera se acepta la hipótesis de la investigación. En el proceso de investigación se analizaron un número determinado de estudios y casos a nivel mundial sobre esta práctica en Psicología del Deporte, encontrando que las intervenciones basadas en el Mindfulness están relacionadas con el mejor rendimiento deportivo, y mejoras en ansiedad, burn out, niveles de flow, asi también que esta técnica permite al deportista mantenerse con una conciencia, centrada en el presente, no elaborativa, no enjuiciadora, en el cual cada pensamiento, sentimiento o sensación es percibido y aceptado. Realizados todos los análisis estadísticos se concluye y se demuestra la hipótesis planteada de que si existe relación entre la Aplicación del Mindfulness y la Percepción de éxito de los jugadores del Club Deportivo Macará. Se ha demostrado que la aplicación de esta Técnica permite mejoras no solamente en el ámbito deportivo sino en cualquier ámbito, ya que permite al deportista permanecer en armonía con sí mismo y mejorar su calidad de vida y cumplir uno de los objetivos principales de los ecuatorianos alcanzar un buen vivir.Item RESILIENCIA Y ANSIEDAD EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-09-06) Bombón Lagua, Tannia Paola; Gaibor Gonzalez, Ismael AlvaroResilience is the ability to overcome adversity while anxiety implies a feeling of lack of control. The objective was to determine if there is a relationship between these variabl es . The Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale and the Hamilton Anxiety Scale were applie d to 107 Ecuadorian university students. The study was cross-sectional and correlationa l , finding a slight negative or inverse relationship between both variables. In addition, most of the participants presented high or very high levels of resilience and low levels of anxiety. Although men had a higher mean of resilience than women, this difference was not significant. Implications of these results are discussed.
