    Calidad de la atención médica y estabilidad emocional en tiempos de Covid a los pacientes adultos mayores de la parroquia Urbana ciudad Nueva en el Hospital Básico Píllaro

    ABSTRACT: The research consists of two variables, such as the quality of medical care and emotional stability in the group of old adults from the parish Ciudad Nueva in the Basic Hospital of Pillaro. The objective was to determine the influence of the quality of medical care on emotional stability in times of COVID-19 to elderly patients of the parish Ciudad Nueva in the Basic Hospital of Pillaro, after the investigation it is determined that the quality of medical care has a great importance on the emotional stability of the individual during COVID-19, which puts them at a greater risk of getting contaged because it is a vulnerable group and they experience different emotions damaging their emotional stability. According to the results obtained, it is shown that it is necessary to create a priority intervention plan from the area of Social Workers in the health field, giving priority to the elderly during their life cycle. The methodology was executed by two questionnaires, for the dependent variable the SERVQUAL questionnaire was used and for the independent variable the BIG FIVE questionnaire was used with the veracity of the data used for a quantitative approach.

    Cambio de estilo de vida y resiliencia en los cuidadores de personas con discapacidad beneficiarios del bono Joaquín Gallegos Lara del cantón Píllaro

    The purpose of this research project is to know the influence that lifestyle change has on the resilience of caregivers of people with disabilities who are beneficiaries of the Joaquín Gallegos Lara Voucher from Cantón Píllaro, for these purposes it is planned to work with a group of caregivers geographically located in the different parishes of the canton, taking as a premise that resilience is the capacity that each individual has to face high stress situations. Methodologically, the research is based on a mixed quali-quantitative approach with the use of techniques such as the narration of life stories of caregivers and instruments such as the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale to verify the hypothesis from which this study was born. in a population of 37 caregivers of people with disabilities. The research is descriptive - correlational in order to expose the conduct of the study group and determine the relationship between the two variables. The results obtained allow us to infer that there is no influence relationship between the two variables since the level of resilience of the caregivers has not been affected by the changes that assuming their role as such has meant in their life trajectory, understanding on the one hand the change in lifestyle as the modification or alteration of routines and habits established in the way of life of a person due to the presence of exogenous situations, while resilience is conceived as the capacity that people have to cope with situations adversaries, go through them and emerge stronger in order to continue with your life without stagnating.

    La construcción socio-educativa de género y la aceptación de identidades sexuales en los estudiantes de la Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales

    Los cimientos socio-familiares influyen en un cierto porcentaje directamente en el comportamiento y personalidad de cada individuo, lo que se ve manifestado en sus opiniones, actitudes, hábitos y formas de pensar en su diario vivir; de tal manera que es notorio recalcar que incluso puede llegar a existir influencia en todos los ámbitos donde el ser humano se desarrolle de manera individual y colectiva. Los Centros Educativos se convierten en el segundo hogar de cada persona ya que la mayor parte del tiempo después de pasar en casa se lo dedica a los estudios, demostrando que el contexto de los mismos también puede llegar a influir en la persona, y por esta razón al querer hablar de sexo y género se ha tomado en cuenta la construcción socio-educativa, para determinar el imperio que tiene en la toma de decisiones en los adolescentes y jóvenes al momento de hablar de sexualidad. En la actualidad han florecido nuevas tendencias, nuevas modas, nuevos gustos, nuevos modos de vida que han alterado la “normalidad” habitual de nuestros ancestros. Haciendo referencia a la sexualidad, se han dado a conocer las nuevas identidades sexuales diferente a la heterosexual, que han provocado polémica y conflictos en la sociedad y en diferentes contextos, sabiendo que los mismos pueden ser originados muchas de las veces, por mitos, tabúes o por simples costumbres pasadas y que ahora han desaparecido por el cambio de época y mentalidad. La idea fundamental es demostrar que si las bases en cuanto a sexualidad obtenidas en la educación y en la sociedad no son claras ni verídicas pueden provocar diferentes factores que fomentan el rechazo y la discriminación social dando paso a la exclusión de las nuevas identidades sexuales que para englobarlas se las conoce como Comunidad GLBTI (gays, lesbianas, bisexuales, transgèneros e intersexuales), emitiendo criterios erróneos sobre estas personas, que si no son controlados a tiempo pueden tener no solo graves consecuencias individuales y colectivas, sino también el desprestigio institucional y netamente nacional en cuanto a no cumplir con los deberes y derechos a los cuales todos estamos sujetos como ciudadanos. Por tal motivo, emitir información precisa y concisa sobre sexualidad y todo los temas que engloban la engloban beneficiará en la inclusión social dentro de cada ámbito y contexto familiar.

    Consumo de alcohol y las relaciones intrafamiliares

    The objective of this research is to determine the relationships between alcohol consumption and family relationships of the students of the Rosa Zarate Educational Unit, alcohol consumption is considered a social problem, because it generates inconveniences in the family, social and academic environment. In addition, early consumption can generate certain addictions to the aforementioned substance, causing students to have difficulties in the short, medium and long term. A methodology with a quantitative approach was used, using two questionnaires validated in the Ecuadorian context, the population with which worked was 212 first, second and third high school students in the morning. The results showed that there is moderate consumption in the educational unit, however, another part of the population may have alcohol consumption difficulties, which is why it was identified that adaptability and permeability are related to alcohol consumption, observing that it is necessary an intervention at a professional level with students and parents where they can generate bonds of trust. Through hypothesis testing, it was possible to demonstrate the correlation and association between the independent variable and the dependent variable, reflecting that alcohol consumption and intrafamily relationships are related. Observing the results makes it possible to make visible the need to implement the intervention plan against students' alcohol consumption

    Corresponsabilidad parental en la crianza de niños, niñas, y adolescentes trabajadores (Proyecto ETI)

    Parental co-responsibility is one of the aspects little investigated within Ecuadorian families, despite the fact that it is a variable that has greater influence and impact within the comprehensive development and growth of children and adolescents. The intention of this research is to point out the impact of the parental co-responsibility that the father and mother maintain in the process of raising the sons and daughters who belong to the GAD-Izamba ETI Project. The methodology used was quantitative, descriptive and correlational. 56 parents participated in the analysis, of which 22 were fathers and 34 were mothers. A sample evaluated from an instrument previously designed by the author of the research, which consists of 15 items to acquire relevant information and coefficients on parental co-responsibility and parenting, with a different Likert scale that varies according to the need. of the question. The results reflected that a very low percentage of the population shares parenting tasks and family responsibilities, represented by 14% almost always and another 14% always, therefore, these are quite worrying data that are due to the persistence of gender roles. traditional, which limits the quality of time and coexistence shared between parents and children. This lack of co-responsibility arises in response to the need to address this challenge holistically. Since the equitable distribution of responsibilities between fathers and mothers is essential to guarantee a healthy and conducive environment for the comprehensive development of children and adolescents. This aspect seeks not only to improve the life realities of children and adolescents, but also to provide a solid foundation for their future. It is worth mentioning that the practice of parental skills such as affection, communication, discipline and time together contribute beneficially to positive parenting that leads to a culture of care and shared responsibility, thus preventing only one parent from assuming all the obligations and attributing to a more equitable society

    La cultura patriarcal y la violencia de Género en el Barrio Luz de América de la Parroquia Poaló en el cantón Latacunga Provincia de Cotopaxi

    The present research work entitled "Patriarchal culture and gender violence in the Luz de América neighborhood of Poaló Parish in the canton Latacunga Cotopaxi province", is the product of the need to eradicate gender violence because of the patriarchal culture, in the residents of this neighborhood, this study aimed to detect patriarchal culture and gender violence, the level of applied research was descriptive, where a field and bibliographical research was applied, to obtain real data the problem was applied instruments that collect relevant information for the verification of the hypothesis and the establishment of conclusions and recommendations that lead to propose solutions to the problem detected, the same that allows men and women in the sector to reflect on the importance of eradicating the gender violence caused by the patriarchal culture, which in society are instituted and n children from early ages, this work was considered significant when implementing a sensitization workshop with activities that seek the eradication of gender violence protected in the patriarchal culture addressed to the residents of the "Luz de América" neighborhood, proposals that intend eradicate in one way or another with this social problem that has affected women and the family, seeking to recognize and protect women's rights to prevent gender-based violence among young people, adolescents and the development of non-egalitarian behavior.

    El desarrollo social en la comunidad

    The research presented is of a descriptive type, which is focused on the Marcos Espinel rural parish of the Santiago de Píllaro Canton with the intervention of 34 people who were interviewed with the main objective of determining the processes of social development of the parish, including all the administrative staff that constitutes the Marcos Espinel Rural Parochial Decentralized Autonomous Government, the leaders and directors of the different neighborhoods that make up the parish. Through this research, the qualitative approach was used, because it allows us to see the subjectivity of things and their multiplicity of aspects, for this, a semi-structured interview consisting of twelve areas of analysis was developed, which was duly confirmed by professionals related to the line of research. After obtaining results, it was possible to verify the social development of the parish, the processes are independent in each neighborhood and this constitutes a self management of resources for the satisfaction of needs, the moderately low level that the community presents is attributed to dissatisfaction of requirements and inadequate quality of life, on the other hand, weighing the functions and roles that all social actors, both public and private, and the different associations that make up the inhabitants, can evaluate the different areas of social development where a decrease in this community from previous periods to the present

    Dinámica familiar y habilidades relacionales en adolescentes durante la crisis sanitaria del Covid-1

    The research is of the Correlational and Descriptive type, with a finite population of 50 adolescents in an age range of 13-17 years belonging to the “Puñapí” community of the Patate Canton, whose objective was to determine the influence of Family Dynamics on Development of Relational Skills in Adolescents during the Covid-19 Health Crisis. Family Dynamics within its structure has several aspects that contribute to both the growth and development of each of its members, allowing them to develop and adaptto society. These factors play an important role in the way of relational relationships with peers or superiors, due to the health emergency this contact has been slowed down and in some settings “forced”. For the execution of the research, a methodology with a quantitative approach was used, two previously validated instruments were used, for the Family Dynamics variable the “Intrafamily Relationship Assessment Scale” was used, composed of three dimensions that are: Union and Support; Difficulties and Expression on the other hand, for the variable Relational Skills the “Social Skills Test” was used, which has four expressed dimensions: Assertiveness; Communication; Self-esteem and Decision Making. Once the results of both variables were obtained, the hypothesis testing process could be carried out, where a positive correlation was demonstrated that determines that family dynamics affects the development of skills in adolescents from the Puñapí community. In addition, it was identified that the dimensions most accepted by adolescents are Expression and Communication. Within this study, good results were obtained in both variables, showing that adolescents, at least from the community, have not seen a change in their social and family relationships due to the health emergency

    La dinámica y el desarrollo psicosocial de los niños y niñas con enfermedades de tratamiento a largo plazo que ingresan al Hospital Pediatrico Baca ortiz

    During the last decade, it has been possible to demonstrate the vulnerability of family dynamics in Ecuador that directly affects the psychosocial development of children with permanent or long-term treatment diseases, therefore the participation of family members in the recovery of the patient, to improve the psychosocial development of the child and do not fall into depression by abandonment affecting more their health, delaying treatment and raising costs that this entails, in this way this research addresses some consequences of "Family dynamics and development psychosocial of children with long-term treatment illnesses who enter the Baca Ortiz pediatric hospital". Which addresses the study of family dynamics, which determines that it is necessary to reconsider the family dynamic as a source of help and a multidisciplinary team that works directly with the family on the prevention of diseases or timely treatment. In the same way, the study of psychosocial development is addressed, in which the various conceptual components that help to better understand the functions, elements, roles, interactions and relationships within the family can be determined. The intention is to start the path that will answer the question: What can we do in this context? The creation of a spicosocial intervention model is proposed to improve the quality of life of children with long-term treatment illnesses who enter the Baca Ortiz pediatric hospital, which will improve the quality of life of these people with treatment diseases. In the long term, they enter the institution, reducing in this way the physical and psychological affectations suffered by the children within the treatment.

    El poder y la justicia en la Comuna Huapante Grande

    The present research work aims to analyze the impact of power on decision-making related to justice in the commune. This research is part of a research project approved by CONIN: UTA-CONIN-2023-0234-R. The main objective of the research is to determine how power influences justice decisionmaking in the Huapante Grande Commune, addressing concepts such as the distribution and types of power present in the community context, as well as the predominant type of justice in conflict resolution. To achieve these objectives, a mixed methodological approach was adopted, which combined quantitative and qualitative techniques. In the quantitative field, a structured 22-item questionnaire was applied to the inhabitants of the commune, evaluating dimensions such as power and justice using a Likert scale. In the qualitative field, in-depth interviews were conducted with community leaders. These tools made it possible to collect information on the inhabitants' perception regarding community participation, transparency and equity in conflict resolution. Among the main results, it was identified that power in the Huapante Grande Commune is concentrated in certain key actors, including community leaders and influential families. Likewise, it was observed that, although the community values community justice mechanisms, perceptions of inequality and lack of transparency in some processes persist. The research also revealed a significant influence of cultural and social factors in the administration of justice. The conclusions highlight the need to promote more inclusive and participatory practices to guarantee an equitable justice system that reflects the needs and values of the community. In addition, the importance of strengthening the capacities of community leaders to administer justice in a transparent and effective manner is underlined. This study represents a significant contribution to the understanding of the interactions between power and justice in community contexts, offering guidelines to improve local justice systems and foster social cohesion.

    The research work reveals one of the factors, which has been observed, through the Project Center for Eradication of Child Labor that runs in the Parochial Gad of Izamba which is "STYLES OF FAMILY TRAINING AND CHILD LABOR IN THE PROJECT CENTER FOR THE ERADICATION OF CHILD LABOR IN THE PAROCHIAL GAD OF IZAMBA. "The problem revealed by the field research, proceeded to the development of the theoretical support that allows the verification of the proposed variables: Family Training Styles (Independent Variable) and the Child Labor (Dependent Variable) collecting information based on books, articles and the internet, the information obtained from the research proceeded to design a solution proposal to the problem by implementing an intervention protocol which seeks to propose intervention strategies guided by the area of Social Work helping to improve Training Styles and Eradicating child labor. It is a document with important information aimed at maintaining a good family relationship by breaking generational myths, valuing the rights of children, helping children and adolescents to be respected and to fulfill their development with activities appropriate to their age.

    Familiar life in Cunchibamba is presente as a reflection of ecuadorian, provincial and cantonal context. Mother is the person to whom the formulation of rules of conduct and discipline of children is delegated; who establish norms, values, behaviors, habits, customs associated with being and acting that society expects of every human group. Assumes liability using methods and fast and effective strategies to the oversight role of the father and the urgency of responding to social models imposed, punishes and inhibits dialogue. In this context, women and men show little taste for the exercise of roles associated with their nature, the two human groups exposed their interest in working; In contrast, domestic tasks remain unrecognized, are evident as learn work like any other.

    Factores de riesgo de deserción escolar durante la pandemia (Covid-19) en la Unidad Educativa "12 de Noviembre" del cantón Píllaro.

    ABSTRACT: This research focuses on the risk factors forschool dropout produced by the pandemic and isolation by Covid-19 that affects the education sector since several teaching centers were forced to physically close and opt for the virtual learning modality to protect health of students and teachers. The main objective is to investigate the factors and risk of school dropout during the pandemic (Covid-19) in the Educational Unit "12 de Noviembre". For this, thedescriptive-correlational method was used with a quantitative approach methodology,using the "Questionnaire on school dropout" previously validated and designed by Sancho Álvarez & Grau Vidal (2013) and adapted to this research as a unit of validation of the variables of research: factors and risk of school dropout during the pandemic (Covid-19). The results obtained indicate that in-school and out-of-school factors influence the riskof school dropout. The economic situation, the support and accompaniment of parentsare determining factors to access or not the new virtual education system.To avoid the risk of school dropout, the family is required to be significantly involvedin the academic training of students in the current educational system. Link society through the university community, providing targeted tutorials, intending to train students and parents in addition, as a proposal. For this, the systemic approach that characterizes Social Work is considered, a socioeconomic study is projected through students or professionals of social work.

    Factores de Riesgo Psicosociales en el consumo de Alcohol y Drogas

    The consumption of alcohol and drugs is a social problem, due to the fact that it generates problems in the family, academic and social spheres, as well as having a direct impact on the mortality rate; the objective of the study is to: To determine the influence that psychosocial factors have on the consumption of alcohol and drugs in students of Social Work, Social Communication and Law at the Technical University of Ambato, using a methodology with a quantitative approach, using a previously validated questionnaire, the population consisted of 893 students, however, when the sample process was carried out it was determined to work with 253 students. The results showed that the psychosocial factors that exist in the lives of the students are personal, family and social, as well as identifying that the level of alcohol and drug consumption is average, finally it was established that the consumption of psychoactive substances has negative effects on the lives of adolescents. Through the testing of hypotheses of achievement demonstrate the correlation and association between the independent variable and the dependent variable, reflecting that the consumption of alcohol and drugs is related to psychosocial risk factors, as, to the results obtained it is possible to visualize the need to implement programs of integral prevention of the use and consumption of alcohol and drugs

    La gestión social del centro de Rehabilitación social Ambato y los conflictos entre personas privadas de libertad

    Realizar acción social es una tarea fundamental para insertar a la sociedad, de manera adecuada, a toda persona que de uno u otro modo necesita hacer ejercer sus derechos de ciudadano. De este modo se trabaja no sólo para mejorar sus condiciones de vida, sino también para fortalecer en el país, el capital humano. El presente trabajo investigativo tiene como objetivo determinar cómo a través de la gestión social se puede manejar y dar alternativas de solución a los conflictos que se presentan entre personas privadas de la libertad (PPL). Para abordar el tema se partió de la investigación bibliográfico-documental y de campo, así como también, de la experiencia obtenida por la autora, dentro del Centro de Rehabilitación Social Ambato (CRSA). El nivel de investigación fue exploratorio-descriptivo y de asociación de variables, se utilizó, la encuesta como instrumento de verificación de hipótesis, con una muestra de 30 PPL, pabellón mujeres sentenciadas.Social management is a fundamental task to insert society, properly, everyone who in one way or another need to be exercising their rights of citizen. In this way it works not only to improve their living conditions, but also to strengthen the country, human capital. The present investigation aims to determine how through social management can handle and provide alternative solutions to the conflicts that arise between persons deprived of liberty (PPL). To address the issue he left bibliographic - document research and field, as well as, the experience gained by the author, within the Centre of Social Rehabilitation Ambato (CRSA). The level of investigation was exploratory - descriptive and association of variables, was used, the survey as a tool for verification of hypotheses, with a sample of 30 PPL, pavilion convicted women.

    La instrucción académica y la inserción laboral de los miembros de la Asociación de discapacitados de Cotopaxi

    When talking about the labor insertion of people with disabilities, intrinsically relates the issue of human rights and how it could affect an adequate academic instruction to improve the quality of life. Currently Ecuador has policies that identify people with disabilities as a "priority attention group, The educational situation of people with disabilities has a highly discriminatory condition, although there are laws that accredit and protect the right of such persons to education and employment in equal conditions that the rest of the population, in this way said research addresses some consequences of "academic instruction and labor insertion of the members of the Association of Disabled Cotopaxi." With which the study of education for people with disabilities is addressed using the critical propositive methodology, to analyze the social phenomenon in which the low management and implementation that exists at the national level can be evidenced, since the preparation facilities do not comply in its totality with a regulated norm where it guarantees the access to people with some disability. In the same way, the study of the limited work opportunity, which is born due to ignorance, is addressed. The intention is to start the path that answers the question "What can we do in this context? The implementation of a labor insertion program based on the continuous academic training of the members of the Association of Disabled Persons of Cotopaxi is proposed, strengthening the integrated and standardized employment, through the educational environment thus improving the standard of living of said persons.

    Intergeneracionalidad en el Desarrollo Comunitario

    The present research addresses the intergenerational interaction in the community of Quisapincha and its impact on community development, highlighting how relationships between generations strengthen social and cultural fabric. Grounded in theories from authors such as Freire, Bourdieu, and Coleman, the study examines key concepts like the transmission of knowledge, community participation, and social cohesion, which are essential to understanding the dynamics of rural communities. Through a qualitative approach, data were collected using life histories and semi-structured interviews conducted with elderly members of the San Antonio de Quisapincha Association, allowing the identification of intergenerational experiences that contribute to local development. The results reveal that older adults serve as custodians of fundamental traditional knowledge, while younger generations introduce technological innovations, creating a valuable exchange for community sustainability. However, challenges such as youth migration and differing generational priorities present barriers that limit social cohesion. In this context, activities like mingas emerge as spaces for mutual learning and cultural preservation. The study concludes that intergenerationality not only preserves cultural values and reinforces the sense of belonging but also fosters resilience and sustainable community development, emphasizing the need to implement programs that integrate digital technologies and cultural activities to strengthen bonds between generations.

    Intervención del Trabajo Social y los conflictos entre Personas Privadas de la Libertad

    This research focuses on the intervention of Social Work and the conflicts between persons deprived of liberty, which is a fundamental task in order to insert into society, in an adequate manner, all persons who in one way or another need to exercise their rights as citizens. The main objective is to investigate the existing trust between PPLs in the center and how the Department of Social Work has intervened in the face of these problems in the Tungurahua No. 1 Deprivation of Liberty Center. In order to approach this topic, hypothetical-deductive and inductive-deductive research was used as a starting point, as well as the experience obtained by the tutor, within the Tungurahua N°1 Deprivation of Liberty Center. The research level was exploratorydescriptive, with a quali-quantitative approach methodology, using the questionnaire/survey on 'Social Work Intervention in conflicts of persons deprived of liberty'' previously validated by myself, as an instrument of hypothesis verification. The results obtained indicate that both social work intervention and conflicts between persons deprived of liberty is a problem that can be seen in the center. The most existing conflict in the CPL is the verbal one, at the same time the PPLs do not have enough confidence to go to the Social Work Department and ask for help to solve their conflicts, sometimes the families of the PPLs influence this since it is part of the life of the PPLs

    La intervención del Trabajo Social y los programas de educación ambiental del Gobierno autónomo descentralizado Municipal del Cantón Riobamba

    The deterioration of the environment is currently a problem of a social nature, therefore, the current governments have implemented environmental education in their public policies. The objective of this study is: To investigate the influence of the intervention of Social Work in the environmental education programs of the Municipal Autonomous Decentralized Government of the cantón Riobamba. The methodology had a qualitative-quantitative approach, this type of research was used with 100 citizens from Riobamba to whom the survey was applied, the same as, its questionnaire was validated and the interviews were carried out with 6 municipal officials. The statistical analysis was performed using Chi square tests with a significance level of 5%, after processing the information through this tool the null hypothesis is verified, which shows that there is no correlation between the intervention social work and environmental education programs in the place that was the object of study. It should be noted that the professional action of the Social Worker will be directed with knowledge related to the environmental area, in addition they will know about laws and mandates on the environment, with highly developed social skills to promote citizen participation, therefore, they will have a notion on issues of sensitization and awareness to achieve sustainable development with responsible environmental practices. After interpreting the results, it was concluded that, in the Directorate of Environmental Management, Health and Hygiene, it is necessary to incorporate a social work professional to its technical team, who fulfills the functions of: planning, organization, direction, control and evaluation.

    This study emphasizes the experiences and perceptions of risks of the students of the Educational Unit "Province of Cotopaxi", taking into account the practices and perceptions in relation to the risk carried out by the Covid-19 Taking into account the problem, which, at present, has caused impacts on the population, by COVID-19 and confinement, it is possible to observe cases of anxiety, depression, sadness and stress, deepening and disproportionate changes in relationships interpersonal skills of young people. The importance of confinement measures for young people safeguarding human lives, young people were affected by the confinement in their homes, the freedom they had before COVID19, the interpersonal relationships of young people who were affected in the, without Being able to develop in the environment that they were used to, day by day I allow them to maintain good relationships within the home. For the execution of the research, a methodology with a qualitative approach was used, interviews, field diary and home visits were used, which gave us information about each of the young people who were part of the interview carried out with each one of them In addition, leisure in youth developed new measures and adaptations necessary to continue with their activities, physical and pedagogical, guaranteeing the protection of well-being and everything that worked safely, the use of social networks, has as a double-edged tool when it comes to of a crisis, social networks are not a problem rather who is behind it
