mall companies in Ecuador that use web servers often face difficulties in efficiently managing time and resources. These difficulties negatively impact the company's performance as well as the quality of service provided to customers. Thus, it is proposed to conduct a comparative analysis of different load balancing algorithms that allow the distribution of requests among virtual machines according to various parameters. The primary objective of this project is to determine which algorithm offers the best performance in optimizing time and resources. The methodology used to achieve this objective consists of three stages. Firstly, a detailed bibliographic review of load balancing algorithms is conducted to select the most suitable algorithms for the study. Secondly, an experimental scenario is designed and implemented using web servers and virtual machines, allowing for the measurement and analysis of the obtained results. Finally, the performance of the selected algorithms is compared, and the algorithm that performs the best is identified. The project aims to identify the primary challenges faced by small companies regarding the management of time and resources on their web servers that employ virtual machines. The analysis also strives to compare the performance of different load balancing algorithms to determine the most efficient one for optimizing time and resources on such web servers.

Nowadays, Phishing websites continue to be a significant threat in the vast cyberspace of the internet. When a user visits a Phishing URL, attackers obtain the user's personal and confidential information. Cyber criminals use various social engineering techniques to carry out identity theft or launch targeted attacks. Students and professors are not exempt from the strong influence of different social engineering techniques. Phishers seek ways to harm and make money through the manipulation and extortion of unsuspecting users. To address this problem, the present curricular integration work proposes implementing a Machine Learning model for Phishing detection deployed as a browser extension. 24 characteristics of its structure were extracted for the analysis of URLs and construction of the dataset. A comparison was made between various classification models such as Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Artificial Neural Network (RNA), and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) to choose the most appropriate and best fit for the problem. Once the algorithms of the different training models were analyzed, the model used to classify URLs is an artificial neural network (RNA) achieving an accuracy of 99.98%. The purpose of this work is to help the FISEI community. The extension will mitigate and prevent users from becoming victims of malicious activities such as falling into Phishing URLs that apply various principles of Social Engineering.

Online footwear purchases are often challenged by the vast array of brands and designs, posing a difficulty for consumers in making decisions. The inability to physically try on shoes prior to purchasing leaves buyers reliant on information provided by manufacturers and reviews, which may be inaccurate or incomplete. This reliance on potentially unreliable sources makes informed decision-making even more challenging, leading consumers to invest time and effort in comparing models and brands, generating frustration and discouragement. To enhance the shopping experience, this project presents a comprehensive solution with Web Scraping techniques using Scrapy and Selenium, along with a content-based recommendation system, aiming to improve the decision-making process in the purchase of athletic footwear and save search time. The recommendation engine leverages information gathered through Web Scraping on pages of various brands, eliminating the need for exhaustive product searches. These data feed into a content-based recommendation system implemented in Flask, acting as a Web Server Gateway Interface (WSGI) server. Additionally, an interactive user interface is implemented using the ReactJs framework, providing users with the ability to intuitively view product recommendations. These recommendations are generated based on their individual preferences and previously selected products. The results obtained from this implementation reveal a significant improvement in the decision-making process for users, simplifying the search and providing personalized recommendations that align with their individual preferences.

People who do not know a place of interest have problems on their first visit, causing them a bad experience. In this context, a person can look for alternatives to get to know these places virtually, before getting to know them physically. However, most of the options are not a reflection of reality. Basically limiting them to see the exteriors of a place. In this sense, a virtual interaction platform is proposed where the user can control an avatar with hand gestures, to get to know a place virtually before getting to know it physically. In this way you can improve your experience on the first visit to the places that are of interest to you. In this project, a 3D model of the Huachi campus of the Technical University of Ambato (UTA) is proposed. This platform works with two integrated systems, running on the same computer. The first system consists of a hand gesture recognition model. This system uses the Leap Motion Controller sensor to capture the gestures made by the user. These data are sent to the model. This is in charge of processing them using a KNN classifier, to predict a label that represents the gesture. Subsequently, the predicted label is sent through the TCP/IP communication protocol, with the local IP address of the computer where the platform is running. The second system receives the label and interprets it as an instruction that the avatar must comply with by performing an action within its virtual environment. The platform was tested by 15 people. A group of 5 people who do know the UTA, and another group of 10 people who do not know the UTA, giving priority to people who do not know the UTA. The model was tested by the researcher, performing 20 repetitions for each gesture. Finding that, with kn=5 and frames=400, an accuracy percentage of 100% is obtained in the Open Hand gesture, 85% in the Close Hand gesture, 65% in the Wave In gesture, 95% in the Wave Out gesture, and 10% on the Pinch gesture. These gestures are used for the interaction of the avatar with the virtual world. However, the action corresponding to the Pinch gesture is limited, due to its low percentage of accuracy

Abstract The community of Sanjaloma Bajo of the Salasaca parish does not have a computer system that manages the administrative and financial processes, the community records each of its processes manually (notebooks) without any organization, these processes are carried out by the Directors , which in turn are chosen by the users of the community for a certain period of time, with the position of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Vocales. To solve this problem, a web system was created for the management of the administrative and financial processes of the community. To design and develop the web system, the Extreme Programming (XP) methodology was applied. The computer tools that are applied in the development are: C Sharp programming language (c #), Asp.Net Framework, IDE Visual Studio .Net (Community 2017 version) and the MySQL database management system. The system aims to organize and control meetings, attendance, collections, expenses and documents. These administrative and financial processes are vital for the community, which is why they were automated in the system. The Directivos use the system through the charges they have, thus controlling the handling of each process that the system executed, to avoid problems due to the misuse of the system. In the same way, if an additional permit is granted to the position, the system records the data of the Director who uses said permit. The system generates reports on community management, these reports visualize the information that managers need to analyze in order to make decisions. The reports are also intended to explain specifically to the users of the community, their debts and payments made during the period of the Shift Directivos. The system can be used without complications because the interface is easy to operate and its use is easy to learn.

People with physical disabilities (PD) have problems carrying out daily activities, affecting their independence. In this context, a person with PD can communicate through hand gestures or facial gestures, among others. However, selecting the features and patterns that separate one gesture from another is not a trivial problem. In this sense, a real-time domotic system (DS) that works with three subsystems is proposed. The first subsystem recognizes hand gestures using a machine learning model and infrared information. The machine learning model consists of preprocessing, feature extraction, classification, and postprocessing modules. The second subsystem relays the message between the subsystems. Finally, the third subsystem activates the operation of the actuators by gestures. The HGR model was trained using 6720 observations and tested offline with 1680 observations, giving an accuracy rate of 92.759%. additionally, the DS was tested online with 1500 observations from 10 users whose persons were not part of the input dataset or model testing. Online testing gives an accuracy rate of 84.07%. Once the hand gesture is recognized, it is sent wireless to an Esp8266 board through the MQTT protocol. The Esp8266 board activates the operation of several actuators. The mosquitto broker embedded in a raspberry pi manages the sending and receiving of messages between the computer where the gesture is recognized and the Esp8266 board. The theoretical response time of the DS is 118.87 ms.

Rehabilitation monitoring has become a prominent advancement in the technological field, thanks to the convergence of different technologies. The integration of these technologies allows for more accurate and detailed monitoring of hand rehabilitation gest ures. Through data capture and analysis real time information about the rehabilitation progress is provided, enabling healthcare professionals and users to assess their performance during the process. Moreover, the system not only offers visual tracking of daily progress but also motivates users to continue their treatment, contributing to the success of their rehabilitation. In this research project, various technologies are implemented to facilitate the monitoring and analysis of hand rehabilitation data . Firstly, the Leap Motion Controller is used to capture hand position and direction data during the performed gestures. These data are processed using a custom acquisition system developed in Matlab, enabling their analysis, and generating a dataset. The dataset is preprocessed and relevant features are extracted for the classification of each gesture. For this, different models are implemented, such as Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and K Nearest Neighbors (KNN) to obtain a high accuracy in the classifi cation. After training, ANN with 93% accuracy was selected. Once the model is trained, it is integrated into Unity, where an interactive interface is created to provide visual feedback to the user, allowing them to perform the gestures effectively and moni tor their progress during rehabilitation.
