Item AROMATERAPIA EN ESTUDIANTES DE ENFERMERÍA PARA REDUCIR EL ESTRÉS(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-02) Tipan Cando, Johanna Alexandra; Pachucho Flores, Ana PamelaThe use of traditional and complementary medicine is the result of unifying two types of ancestral medicines, which covers part of the professional practices, one of them is aromatherapy, which is a complementary health therapy, using essential oils as the main therapeutic agents, can be applied through inhalation and massage. In the inhalation mechanism, essential oils can communicate signals to the olfactory system and stimulate the brain. Aim. To evaluate the effect of aromatherapy with lavender essence to reduce stress in nursing students. Methodology. Quantitative approach, quasi-experimental design and correlational scope, with a sample of 28 Nursing students. The analysis of the quantitative data was processed through tabulation in the Excel platform and statistically analyzed in the SPSS version 29.0 software program and using thestudent t test. Results. The normality of the pre- and post-test values was checked, whose significance values of the Shapiro Wilk test were > 0.05, determining a normal distribution of the data. Therefore, the parametric Student's T test for related samples was applied, yielding a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. Conclusion. The researcher's alternative hypothesis was accepted, that is, that aromatherapy does reduce students' stress.Item CREACIÓN Y VALIDACIÓN DE UN INSTRUMENTO PARA EL CONTROL DE TRATAMIENTO ANTIHIPERTENSIVO(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-29) Vargas Lozada, Alicia Nathaly; Pachucho Flores, Ana PamelaIntroduction. Arterial hypertension is a disease in which the force exerted by blood against the walls of the arteries is too high, representing an important risk factor for contracting various cardiovascular diseases, such as: heart disease, cerebrovascular accident, renal failure and other complications in health. Objective: To create a tool that guarantees adequate control of antihypertensive treatment, improving the effectiveness of the pharmacological regimen and patient adherence. Methodology: includes an exhaustive review of specialized literature, validation of its content by five experts and a pilot test composed of 83 subjects, which represents 10% of patients in a public health center in the province of Tungurahua, based on the 2019 Clinical Practice Guide of the Ministry of Health of Ecuador. Results: The tool presents acceptable validity and reliability, as demonstrated by its global Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.80, which indicates good reliability. instrument for comprehensive patient control. Furthermore, the study identifies 8 dimensions: medical care, laboratory tests, medication, risk factors, signs of not taking medication, signs of having an overdose, complications and general care. Conclusion: The article presents a valid and reliable tool to control hypertensive treatment.Item EXPERIENCIA DE VIDA DE UNA ESTUDIANTE DE ENFERMERÍA CON CÁNCER(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-04) Ruiz Quinapanta, Allison Daniela; Pachucho Flores, Ana PamelaCancer is a pathology that can originate in almost any organ or tissue of the body, all cancers, has the same underlying basis: cells out of control which accumulate forming tumors, but there is another variant of the disease in which tumors are not necessarily formed despite the uncontrolled multiplication of cells in the blood, as in the case of leukemia. Objective: To relate the life experience of a nursing student with cancer; (2) Methods: This study has a qualitative approach, case study design and descriptive scope, through the narration of experiences and perceptions of a nursing student with cancer during her educational process. The technique used is a semi-structured interview, prior to the application of an informed consent, once the information was collected it was recorded and transcribed in order not to lose any important information; (3) Results: This inspiring story highlights the importance of mutual support and empathy in times of adversity; (4) Conclusions: it was possible to demonstrate that, through unwavering determination, courage and perseverance, the power of caring and compassion are fundamental axes in the recovery of health, which affects not only patients but also those who care for them.Item MÉTODOS DE EVALUACIÓN EN SIMULACIÓN CLÍNICA: REVISIÓN SISTEMÁTICA(2025-06-17) Guanoluisa Iza, Jessica Estefania; Pachucho Flores, Ana Pamela; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de EnfermeríaIntroduction: Clinical simulation is considered as an effective and interesting learning and teaching method that includes technology and scenarios similar to the real world. The clinical practice is guided by a professional or teacher who facilitates adequate learning and standardized learning evaluation methods in the skills and knowledge that each student has, thus making it a more interactive method that facilitates adequate learning, that is why the objective is to analyze the evaluation methods in clinical simulation. Methodology: proposal with narrative methodology of descriptive type, proposed as a bibliographic review. Information was collected from high impact databases such as Scielo, Dialnet, Pubmed and Google Scholar and with the help of the PRISMA method for data collection and its adequate classification. Results: different evaluation methods were found to be applied in clinical simulation, involving summative and formative evaluations, surveys, the Objective Structured Clinical Examination, the Kirkpatrick evaluation method, Miller's pyramid and the Debrifing and brifing. Discussion: after confirming the application of evaluative methods, several authors determine that each of the methods used are essential to obtain and provide knowledge and at the same time establish feedback according to the student's needs. Conclusion: The most reliable evaluative methods that were used are Miller's pyramid as an essential method to obtain knowledge and use feedback and debriefing that helps to give instructions and recommendations at the time of being in the clinical simulation.Item PERCEPCIÓN DEL NIVEL DE ADHERENCIA AL TRATAMIENTO HIPERTENSIVO EN LOS ADULTOS(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-05-28) Chicaiza Almachi, Evelyn Cristina; Pachucho Flores, Ana PamelaIntroduction: The perception of the level of adherence to hypertensive treatment in adults refers to the extent to which patients follow medical indications and take their medications as prescribed by health professionals. Objective: To analyze adherence to antihypertensive treatment in adults by means of a qualiquantitative study during the months of May and June in order to create strategies aimed at preventing short-term complications in primary health care. Materials and methods: The study carried out adopted a mixed quali-quantitative, phenomenological, cross-sectional, cross-sectional approach during the months of May and June of the present year, with a population of 26 people with census sampling using semi-structured interviews, informed consent and the MoriskyGreen questionnaire. Results: According to the study carried out, most of the people suffering from arterial hypertension are female, married, between 30 and 60 years of age, and most of them are engaged in domestic chores. Both men and women with this pathology, according to the surveys, do not adapt to follow the pharmacological treatment; however, they do not abandon it because they know the importance of having a better quality of life. Conclusion: The analysis of the present study was based on adherence to antihypertensive treatment in adults at the Martínez Health Center in which the suggested strategy is to educate the population more about the importance of adherence to antihypertensive treatment.Item “uso de plantas medicinales como analgésico-antiinflamatorio en la parroquia Quisapincha comunidad Pucara Chico”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Enfermería, 2018-04-01) Pachucho Flores, Ana Pamela; Herrera López, José Luis Lic.
