(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Comunicaciòn, 2024-02) Paredes Pérez, Tannia Lizbeth; Naranjo Gamboa, Byron Orlando
The general objective of this research was to determine the influence of emotional communication and emotional intelligence in the academic field, in the same way, it allowed to know the importance of maintaining an emotional balance when teaching classes so as not to affect the learning and teaching process, also, that having a good emotional communication admits to create long-term bonds. A study was carried out with a qualitative and quantitative approach, for this a sample of 297 students between 187 women and 110 men from the Communication, Social Work and Law careers belonging to the Faculty of Jurisprudence and Social Sciences of the Technical University of Ambato was used, likewise, there was the intervention of 6 teachers two for each career. The instruments used were the survey guide and the interview guide in which detailed questions were asked to measure the impact of the problem. The main findings of the study reveal that students are careful about how they handle different types of language, also, that it is ideal for them to have a loving bond to perform better academically, however, they do not have the appropriate management of emotional intelligence to end the relationship but contributes to personal and professional growth. On the other hand, the teachers said that it is important to separate family, social or professional problems, since they can transmit a negative image to students, because body language is perceived when entering the classroom. In addition, the young people expressed that educational centers should strengthen emotional skills such as empathy and self-control. The recommendations were found in the possibility of creating an emotional well-being and development committee that has an open communication channel where everyone can participate and have a guide regarding emotional communication and emotional intelligence
