Item EVALUACIÓN DEL IMPACTO DE VIDEOJUEGOS COMO HERRAMIENTA DE APRENDIZAJE EN ESTUDIANTES DE ENFERMERÍA: UN ENFOQUE HACIA LA MEJORA DE HABILIDADES CLÍNICAS(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Enfermería, 2024-10-03) Pilatasig Chato, Erika Alexandra; Herrera López, José LuisSerious games are a type of games characterized by their educational purposes, these are considered an innovative teaching-learning tool since they make available to those who use them, real and iterative scenarios that, in the field of health allow developing skills such as critical thinking and problem solving, in addition, they show the mistakes made, the same ones that allow students to have feedback on their mistakes and thus do not commit them again thus improving the level of knowledge. The objective of this study was to demonstrate how the use of video games helps to improve the level of learning and clinical skills of nursing students. It has a quantitative approach, cross-sectional design and descriptive scope. The technique used was the survey, and the instrument was a questionnaire. The sample size was 32 students, selected by nonprobabilistic purposive sampling and the data were interpreted using the SPSS version 29 statistical system. The results showed that most of the participants have high levels of knowledge about technology and video games, however, the most used are strategy games, leaving aside serious video games. In comparison with other studies, the results are similar, so it is considered that this tool is gradually being incorporated as a method of education. Although they have already been used on certain occasions by teachers and have been well received by students in the classroom as they mention that they develop intelligence and mental agility.
