Aging includes a gradual process of physical, biochemical and psychological deterioration, such as changes in balance, as well as gait that increase the risk of falls and the development of diseases secondary to this event. In this way, through an analytical investigation, with longitudinal cohort intervention, the effects of the Frenkel Method were measured after applying an exercise guide. The study was applied to 30 older adults from the Association of Telecommunications Retirees of Guayas, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Balance, gait and risk of falls were evaluated using the Tinetti scale. A review of the literature was carried out and an initial assessment was applied to determine the exercises and their most appropriate dosage, the guide was reviewed by three experts and then the content validation coefficient was calculated, to be applied for 9 weeks. 3 times per week and 45 min duration per session. Following the application of the guide, a new evaluation was carried out with the Tinetti scale. The results found showed improvements in balance, gait and a decrease in the risk of falls, corroborated by the significant differences between measures of balance (0.000), gait (0.000) and risk of falls (0.000). Concluding that the Frenkel Method improves balance and gait in older adults, also reducing the risk of falls in this population.
