    Automatización del proceso de lavado de fruta (naranjilla) para optimizar la producción en el gobierno autónomo descentralizado provincial de Pastaza

    This technical project was developed due to the need to incorporate a system to control the process of washing naranjilla in the ASTIMEC machine, model ASA-LFC300, which is owned by the Provincial Government of Pastaza, since it was abandoned because the operators could not handle the machine correctly. This system will make it possible to control the water pressure and the speed at which the frit will be transported for washing. The closed-loop system installed in this technical project consists of a central control panel that, by means of electrical and electronic devices programmed with a ladder-type language and executed by a PLC, made it possible to automate manual and semi-automatic processes for fruit washing. The machine has an electric motor that rotates the cleaning rollers; this programmed system continuously and controlled the correct advancement of the fruit, allowing the revolutions to be varied according to the operator's requirements, which increased the efficiency in time and quality of fruit washing. The machine's centrifugal pump, which supplies a continuous flow of water, controls the pressure variation according to the fruit cleaning requirements and visual inspection by the operator in charge.
