Maestría en Administración de Empresas Familiares, 2018) Muyulema Molina, Ligia Elena; Mejía Vayas, Carlos VinicioThe purpose of this research work is to determine how the weak knowledge of the business culture affects the continuity of the family business in the footwear sector of the city of Ambato, using the methodology of the quantitative approach and a field research modality and bibliographic documentary, applying a survey of ten questions that were structured according to the needs of the companies, being answered by the managers of each of the companies, giving information on the real situation of each one of them, these data were analyzed, graphed, tabulated, and interpreted, the most important thing to verify that the research instrument is validated was the Crombach Alpha check method and expert analysis on the subject of both footwear and organization. Therefore, through descriptive research, 218 family businesses with more than six years old are analyzed to investigate this matter; The results show that the risk of fragmentation is real and is driven by the poor communication of the business family, low participation of the family in the management of the company and little preparation for the process of succession in the family business. To reduce the risk of fragmentation, strategies are selected that allow linking the business family with the productive activity of the company and the interaction of the family with the company's environment.Item Las diversas especies societarias y su aplicación para la continuidad de las empresas familiares en el Ecuador(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Maestría en Administración de Empresas Familiares, 2018) Sánchez Mantilla, Leandro Mauricio; Ortiz López, Santiago OmarThe importance that has taken a family business in the global economy and their worrying statistics that reflect their little growth with a negative tendency to continue over the time, determine the objective of this study, which is: to analyze how the application of the different corporations contribute in the continuity of the family businesses in Ecuador. A descriptive research applied to 380 family businesses, both sole propietor and corporations in Ecuador, show a total lack of knowledge about the issues of the different corporate species, procedures, costs, time and benefits of the legal formalization. Legal persons based on their experience have transmitted the advantages and disadvantages that they have received from the moment they acquired the legal status, showing at the same time a lack of knowledge about the necessary tools that help them solving their family problems that could arise in the future of their business, such as the succession plan and family protocol. Maestría en Administración de Empresas Familiares, 2018) Córdova Jara, Sandra del Pilar; Sevilla Galarza, María SoledadThe general objective of the present investigation was to determine how the style of leadership affects the strategies of measurement of achievements of the textile sector in Ambato city, for which a mixed approach was used, with a descriptive and correlational cross-sectional scope, evaluating the leadership style that managers and collaborators perceive through the CELID A and S questionnaire, and the measurement of achievements determined by the CLP-SP questionnaires for the work climate and the Objective Verification Checklist, where the transformational leadership in its A form predominates in the 3 companies, and in its S form the transformational leadership predominates in the company Camaleón and Pasteur, while in the Pasteur companies the leadership Laaisez Faire is notorious. The work climate of the companies Camaleón and Enmanuel is perceived as very favorable, while in the company Pasteur as favorable. Finally, the hypothesis was verified: The group of variables included that reflects the leadership style are not significant in the achievement measurement strategies, where through a regression analysis the p-value obtained for any of the cases is less than one, keeping correlation only the style of transactional leadership with the work climate. The null hypothesis is accepted, that is, the group of variables of leadership styles does not affect the strategies for measuring achievement, analyzing that the proposal should be the description of procedures for the design and construction of indicators to measure achievements in family enterprises.Item Estrategias para la internacionalización de las PYMES familiares del cantón Ambato - provincia de Tungurahua(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. This work will focus on the study of the strategies for the internationalization of Family SMES in Canton Ambato, although it may be useful for SMES throughout Ecuador. This will contribute to their competitive. The findings of the study show that most of the managers and / or legal representatives of SMES in the Canton, agree that in applying strategies of internationalization their companies would increase the quality of their processes, in addition to providing experience in the production and innovation of its products, however the same majority of managers and / or legal representatives surveyed have doubts when planning their departure to other countries, either because they do not know how their business activity can perform abroad or by international legal regulations, to this is added the risk aversion that especially assume the founding generations of the business that prefer to stay in their comfort zone. Maestría en Administración de Empresas Familiares, 2018) Cortez Viteri, Christian Daniel; Viteri Robayo, Carmen PatriciaThe research was carried out with the objective of determining the factors of entrepreneurship for the creation of family businesses in the city of Ambato, it is a descriptive, field research, with a qualitative and quantitative approach. In the research we worked with a total of 200 entrepreneurs of which 89 (44.5%) are women and 55.5% that corresponded to 111 men; the highest educational level attained by entrepreneurs was secondary school (69.5%) (fi = 139), followed by more or less similar percentages between the primary (13.5%) and university (14%) levels, the lowest percentages are between those who have no education and those with a postgraduate degree. The situation worked before starting with his business, gave the following results, 118 (59%) worked as an employee, 63 (31.5%) was independent, while 9.5% were out of work before starting their business Current, the main reason to start a business is the economic need in approximately three quarters of the population under study. Regarding culture, 185 (92.5%) identify themselves as mestizos, followed by indigenous people (6%); Whites (1%) and Afro Ecuadorians (0.5%), there is an entrepreneurial culture in the family in 58.5%, pointing out its importance for the experience in the creation of companies, compared to 41% who do not have this figure. For this, we worked with quantitative approach supported by a bibliographic research, which allowed us to sustain the variables under study (Technological Innovation and Business Growth). On the other hand, a field investigation was applied, where the study population was structured by companies that according to the INEC are classified as small or family, which were in a total of five (MAMBUS, IMPEDEPSA, ALME , PILLAPA, IMPA). It was possible to gather information regarding the income and historical costs of each one of them that were later subjected to a statistical analysis, giving rise to the verification of the proposed hypothesis. Under these characteristics, it was determined that the information collected from the study population allocated resources for the acquisition of new specific technologies for each type of Bus, during two years. In addition, companies believe that introducing new technologies will improve their economic benefits and with them their business growth. The continuous use of resources available to companies such as labor, patents, machinery goes unnoticed for their owners, the same as part of Know How (referring to the way in which the company does things in the workplace). that uses those resources to achieve production. According to the results obtained from the survey applied to the owners and workers of family artisan businesses, it is noteworthy that there is a link between salary and performance. As the years have passed, the number of elements in the family has also increased which also contributes to its capacity for business administration and has resorted to legal instruments for generational succession in that direction. However, there have been problems in capturing power within companies, leaving their continuity at risk. According to the results obtained from the survey applied the entities in the Province of Tungurahua it is highlighted that in 32% of the entities the family members would take a hostile stance before the succession of the family council. Not so in the 4% of companies that will assume it peacefully; however, in 14% this situation is indifferent and finally 51% of corporations are skeptical. Also in 78% of the family companies surveyed perseveres the criterion that the participation in the family patrimony is the point of discord. In 6% of entities the trend is that the entry of new members to the organization is not adequate. Conflict of interest generates discrepancies in 16% of family associations. From the field research carried out, it is concluded that the premature decay in the life time of family businesses is due to a weak legal structure regarding the conformation of the family structure in companies. The proposed Family Protocol model as a solution to adequately order the succession of people in the Family Council and ensure the continuity of businesses up to the third generation. The Family Protocol model contains eleven clauses describing the systematic process for integrating family authority into the enterprise. The key point is the identification of the power of the family in the economic and the government it exercises, the control as it is taken over time from the founding partners and their subsequent offspring is by degree of consanguinity or affinity for the perpetuity of the entity.Item Rol de la mujer en la continuidad de la Empresa Familiar en el sector textil de la Provincia de Tungurahua.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. After having carried out the field research, it was known that a solution to the problem is needed, so a succession plan was proposed that is based on equal opportunities for men and women for family businesses in the textile sector of the province of Tungurahua.
