One of them is TikTok, which is widely used because of the wide variety of functions it offers. In addition, it is novel because it has a realistic view of the videos that students make and how this could have repercussions in the future when they practice their profession. The present research work has as its theme “The social network TikTok and the verbal expression of first level students of the Basic Education career of the Technical University of Ambato” and is aligned with social and educational behavior because it aims to investigate the impact of the social network TikTok on verbal expression, for this we worked under a combined approach that is quali-quantitative. One of the instruments for data collection was a structured questionnaire composed of 32 questions. In addition, to evaluate the development of verbal expression, an analysis of 41 videos posted on TikTok by the students who made up the population was carried out; a checklist designed in three dimensions was used for this evaluation. The results of the research show that students use different TikTok functions and verbal expression is limited. In conclusion, the use of the social network TikTok generates positive impacts such as creativity and greater confidence when speaking. GUILLERMO HERNÀNThe methodological strategies is essential for the development of verbal expression partly because it promotes social interaction and allows students to express their thoughts, feelings and ideas, through words or gestures, consistently and naturally, without fear of critical sure what you are communicating and the message you want to convey. The students of the seventh anniversary of the Educational Unit "Domingo Faustino Sarmiento" declare an inadequate development of verbal expression, due to the limited use of active methodological strategies by teachers, affecting the teaching-learning process of their students. From the data obtained from surveys conducted in the institution, the problem that exists is reflected, which justifies the need to design an activity guide for proper development of verbal expression of students, as an alternative solution, based on a active and innovative, in order that teachers can apply timely according to the context and needs of learners methodology. This guide is design to promote and improve the discursive processes of students, and seeks to achieve educational excellence to meet the quality standards that society demands today
