Maestría en Mecánica Mención Diseño, 2020) Sangucho Yanchapanta, Edgar Rolando; Paredes Salinas, Juan GilbertoThis research work was carried out under the objective of optimizing the application parameters of the Belzona hard coating and its impact on abrasive wear resistance in Francis turbine blades, for which abrasive wear tests were performed to determine the rate of wear and loss of coating volume. For the development of the research, the type of research based on the experimental method was based on the bibliographic and field methodology. To design the phenomenon of parameter optimization, an experiment design was carried out under the response surface method using the technique of Box-Behnken, the study phenomenon that included 15 trials with the application and combination of time parameters, thickness, curing temperature of the coating for the evaluation of the variable, in addition to 75 replications depending on the development of experiments, to which The coatings were applied. With this it could be concluded that the application of the coating on the improved materials the characteristics and properties with respect to abrasive wear, these processes affected a greater hardness and abrasive resistance.
