Item La danza folclórica y el desarrollo de la resistencia de los integrantes del grupo Arte y Cultura Danza Andina(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Maestría en Educación con Mención en Educación Física y Deporte, 2025-01-27) Paredes Tite María José; Zapata Mocha Esmeralda Giovanna; Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y de la educación -Maestría en Educación con Mención en Educación Física y DeporteThe research problem focuses on the group Arte y Cultura Danza Andina and its members who practice folk dance and are unaware of their endurance condition, which is related to their physical performance and skills in the different musical rhythms they perform. For this reason, the general objective of the research is to determine the importance of folk dance and its impact on the development of endurance of the members of the Arte y Cultura Danza Andina group. The research level corresponds to quasi-experimental, with a quantitative approach, applying the Course Navette Test which allowed evaluating the maximum oxygen consumption or VO2Max, being applied before and after the intervention of folk dance activities to a population of 20 members of the Arte y Cultura Danza Andina group, men and women between the ages of 11 and 31 years. The information obtained was processed through SPSS statistical software and the sample was validated using the Shapiro-Wilk test to identify normality, obtaining a value of .000, which shows that it is not normal. The results determine that in the pre-test the members of the dance group presented VO2Max levels equivalent to medium in men (41.17 ml/kg/min) and good in women (40.46 ml/kg/min), however after applying the folkloric dance activities the records were higher in men with values of 49.98 ml/kg/min equivalent to good and in women of 46.97 ml/kg/min, remaining in the good range. Statistically significant differences were identified between the post-test and the pre-test in men and women through the Wilcoxon test, which identifies that there was an improvement in resistance after the execution of the folkloric dance activities, that is, after the intervention for eight weeks. It is possible to conclude that folkloric dance activities in the group of members of Arte y Cultura Danza Andina have a favorable impact on resistance through systematic planning, which is why its application and incorporation in the preparation of dancers is recommended to improve their physical condition in addition to promoting the development of other skills specific to the physical activity they perform.
