    USO DE LA SIMULACIÓN VIRTUAL Y REALIDAD AUMENTADA EN LA FORMACIÓN DE ENFERMERÍA QUIRÚRGICA

    Introduction: The use of virtual simulation and augmented reality in surgical nursing education has experienced a remarkable growth, transforming the acquisition of skills and the confrontation of complex situations, the same have revolutionized improving clinical competence and raising the quality of medical care. Objective: Carry out an exhaustive and systematic bibliographic review that allows analyzing and synthesizing the existing scientific evidence on the use of virtual simulation and augmented reality in surgical nursing training. Methods: A systematic review was used in which the PRISMA Protocol was applied as the standard methodological framework. The search strategy covered various academic databases, using key terms related to virtual simulation, augmented reality and surgical nursing. The screening phase included identification of 1,014 records, elimination of duplicates, and screening of titles and abstracts, resulting in 15 studies included in the review. Results: The studies reviewed address the effectiveness of virtual simulation and augmented reality in nursing education, including satisfaction with interventions, significant improvements in knowledge and specific skills, such as falls prevention and communication. In addition, it demonstrated benefits in areas such as physical assessment, performance in psychological care skills, and postoperative satisfaction in patients. Conclusions: A systematic literature review on the use of virtual simulation and augmented reality in surgical nursing education concludes that these technologies offer immersive and safe practice environments. However, significant challenges remain, such as variability in outcomes and the need to evaluate their long-term impact on clinical practice.
