Item Estresores que afectan el normal desarrollo de las funciones asistenciales en el personal de salud(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-10-12) Zurita Valle, Kevin Josué; Herrera López, José LuisIntroduction: Labor stressors are those related to the working conditions that come from the relationship between the worker and his work functions, leading to psychological disorders or physical damage within the health personnel, which can lead to absenteeism or lack of performance. job functions. Objective: To identify the stressors that affect the normal development of care functions in nursing staff. Methodology: a descriptive design, quantitative cross-sectional approach was used, 101 nurses who work in different services of the Ambato General Hospital were inquired through the Occupational Stress Questionnaire for Nursing. Results: the main results show that 96% correspond to the female gender, married (58%) and range from 31 to 40 years; services with the highest participation: surgical center (25%), neonatology (15%) and ICU (13%) with a working time of less than 1 year. 61% cannot perform their nursing tasks and do not share feelings with other colleagues, 70% presented psychological stressors related to the death and suffering of a patient, finally 58% of nurses ever presented social stressors referring to criticism from a doctor. Conclusion: Considering the stressors mentioned, it was identified that the main sources of absenteeism of health personnel are closely linked to psychological stressors linked to the death of a patient, fear of making mistakes in their care and the controversy of lack of personnel or help to other services, hindering the normal development of the function in health care.Item Análisis del afrontamiento del personal de limpieza en hospitales públicos durante la pandemia por covid-19(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-10-12) Guamanquispe Aldás, Erika Vanessa; Moyano Calero, WillianThe COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to generating physical conditions and consequences in the population, caused psychosocial disorders, for which people developed levels of coping with stress, causing difficulties in the cognitive and behavioral capacity of those affected, being a of the most affected populations the cleaning staff who worked in health institutions. The purpose of the study was to know the coping with stress in the cleaning and cleaning staff of the Ambato General Teaching Hospital during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. This is an observational, descriptive cross-sectional cohort study, with random probabilistic sampling, the Perceived Stress Scale-10 adapted to COVID-19 (EPP-10-C) was used. The main results show that, for the most part, the cleaning staff presented a moderate level of coping with stress during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, many also registered a mild level of coping. Finally, it was observed that the cleaning staff has developed different levels of coping, which allowed reducing the impact on mental health.Item Estados emocionales y su relación con el consumo de alcohol en estudiantes de bachilleratos emocionales y su relación con el consumo de alcohol en estudiantes de bachillerato(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-02-01) Campos Nuñez, Oscar Ivan; Mayorga Morales, Silvia GracielaLic. MgAdolescence is a complex stage where changes occur at the physical, cognitive and emotional level, therefore, emotional intelligence allows the development of abilities and skills to avoid alcohol consumption in adolescents, becoming a personal protective factor. Objective: To identify the relationship of emotional states with alcohol consumption in adolescents from the “Huambaló Educational Unit”. Material and methods: this research used a non-experimental methodological design, opting for a cross-sectional cohort quantitative epistemological-methodological paradigm. The population was made up of adolescents between the ages of 14 and 17 from the Huambaló Educational Unit, with a census sample of 185. Through the survey instrument, information was recorded on the variables: emotional states, those that relate it to alcohol consumption in adolescents Results: Regarding the incidence ratios of alcohol consumption, it is observed that adolescents between 14 and 17 years of age consume alcohol by 15.1%, increasing consumption rates as they reach adulthood. 10.8% of those who ingest liquor affirm that it changes their moods. Similarly, a 64.3% range of sadness and depression is observed in the surveyed population, which affects adolescents consuming liquor. Conclusions: Permissive parenting habits, lack of communication in the family environment and lack of skills and emotional strategies to cope with stress, depression and sadness affect alcohol consumption in adolescents.Item Estrés y ansiedad en los estudiantes de primaria en tiempos de covid-19(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-11-01) Casa Toapanta, Jessica Alexandra; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy Cristina Dra.The COVID-19 pandemic has become a global health problem, with Ecuador being one of the most affected Latin American countries. This disease has been classified as a trigger of stress in the population, prompting prevention measures around the world. The main objective of this study was to identify the causes that cause stress and anxiety in elementary school students in times of COVID-19 in the “Barrio Pupana Sur”. The research was quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, where a census sample of 200 primary school students was taken into account. For data collection, two surveys were used, the infant daily stress inventory test and the Spencer test. Similarly, the ethical principles indicated in the Declaration of Helsinki in relation to research on human beings were taken into account, taking into account the ethical principles of respect, confidentiality and autonomy of the study participants. The results obtained showed a low level of stress and anxiety, in the different categories, such as health problems 86.5%, school environment 81.5%, family environment 90%, panic attack and agarphobia 96.1%, separation anxiety 96.5%, social phobia 91%, fear of physical harm 94.5%, obsessive compulsive disorder 95%, generalized anxiety disorder 97.5%. Concluding that there are several reasons why the level of stress and anxiety is low, among them we have the constant help of parents, dynamic strategies by teachers, allowing a good academic performance.Item Bienestar psicosocial del adulto mayor durante la pandemia covid-19 en la comunidad de Patutan provincia de Cotopaxi”(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-09-01) Velasco Tipanquiza, Jessica Abigail; López Pérez, Grace Pamela Lic. Mg..Introduction: The COVID-19 disease, in addition to its health effects, has presented a series of unprecedented social and economic effects throughout the world. Mental health is a space that has been negatively disrupted by this pandemic, and in which older adults have been a group affected by it. Objective: The objective of this study is to identify the conditions of psychosocial well-being in older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic in the community of Patutan, Cotopaxi Province. Method: For this study, was used scale BIEPS-A by Casullo, to determine the level of psychosocial well-being of the population, composed of 13 items in five dimensions Self-acceptance, Control of situations, Autonomy, Psychosocial ties and Projects, to a constitutive sample of 58 older adults in the community. Results: The results showed incidence rates beyond normal regarding the psychosocial well-being of the respondents, 13.79% were located at a high level of psychosocial well-being, 57% at a medium level and 27% were located at a low level. Conclusions: COVID-19 has affected mental health and psychosocial well-being in the elderly population, reflecting problems of stress, lack of family ties, sense of isolation, and loss of life purposeItem Estrés por sobrecarga en el cuidador informal de pacientes oncologicos en la instancia domiciliaria(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-09-01) Pilatasig Chato, Mónica Maricela; Castillo Siguencia, Rosa Mercedes Lic.Introduction: the informal caregiver is the person who provides help and support to the person with some disability that hinders the normal development of their vital activities, usually, it is family or friends who provide the care. Objective: to identify the level of stress overload in informal caregivers of cancer patients at home. Methods: a qualitative type of research was carried out, because it was based on having a conversation with the informal caregiver, the researcher interacted with the subjects of study obtaining answers to questions based on the experience of daily coexistence with the oncology patient. Likewise, information was collected through an interview with the primary caregiver, who answered several questions that were recorded with the permission of the individual interviewed. Results: emotions such as mental stress, physical and social overload were identified. In addition, it is established that the informal or primary caregiver spends an average of 6-24 hours a day on caregiving, whereby personal life has changed drastically, their daily activities are no longer carried out in the same order. Conclusion: it is concluded that stress overload in the informal caregiver of cancer patients in the home setting is caused by the drastic change in the caregiver's personal life, that is, the daily routine in combination with the care of the family member led to physical and social exhaustion.Item Estrés laboral en los docentes de la carrera de enfermeria en la modalidad virtual(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-09-01) Gavilánez López, Laura Katherine; Costales Coronel, Blanca Georgina Lic.Work stress is a specific form of stress that results from a negative emotional experience caused by the imbalance between work needs and the worker's ability to respond, it is the way to respond when they have work demands and pressures that do not match their knowledge and skills. The present work aims to analyze work stress in nursing career teachers in the virtual modality. Methodologically, a descriptive, quantitative cross-sectional study was carried out. The population consisted of 120 teachers of the Nursing Career between men and women. For the collection of information, the Maslach Burnout Inventory Questionnaire was used with 95% reliability. Resulting in high scores in the subscale of emotional exhaustion, personal fulfillment and in the subscale of depersonalization a medium level. When relating the variables, it was found that there are signs of Burnout syndrome in teachers, it has increased with the new virtual modality to teach classes that has implied an increase in working hours to the detriment of rest hours, affecting the quality of work of teachers.Item Efectos en la salud mental por aislamiento social en los habitantes del barrio san Sebastiàn del Canton Latacunga(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-03-01) Jiménez Jaramillo, Diana Stefania; Moyano Calero, Willian Eudrilir Lic. Mg.Introduction: Metal health is the direct or indirect activities that consist of physical, metal and social well-being. Diseases related to mental disorders, both mild and severe, cause restlessness or disturb a person's ability to move and social relationships. The psychological alterations go from isolated symptoms to serious and complex disorders marking a deterioration in their functionality such as insomnia, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder and anxiety disorders, which arise from the alteration of the environment in which the individual develops. Social isolation can be created when an individual moves away from his environment either voluntarily or involuntarily since at present social isolation has been given by fear of suffering the contagion of a pathogenic agent that affects health. Objective: To analyze the effects on mental health due to social isolation in the inhabitants of the San Sebastian neighborhood in the canton of Latacunga. Methods: The present investigation employs a quantitative cross-sectional approach, which sampled 314 inhabitants of Barrio San Sebastian in Latacunga County through simple random sampling. For the collection of data, it was used the questionnaire DASS21 which allowed measuring parameters of stress, anxiety and depression, besides it was included 5 sociodemographic items and a question focused on measuring the percentage of fulfillment of social isolation. The collected data were analyzed through the statistical program SPSS. Results: The present investigation has determined that within the population of the San Sebastian neighbourhood, depression has manifested itself in 4.14%, in a minimum level of 1 and maximum of 4, related to social isolation in 12.9%, as far as anxiety is concerned, it has manifested itself in 1.91% with a minimum level of 1 and maximum of 4, correlated to social isolation in 7.7% while stress has manifested itself in 5.73% with a minimum level of 1 and maximum of 4, related to social xiv isolation in 9.1%. Thus, social isolation has affected the mental health of 10.1% of the inhabitants. Conclusions: Social isolation has affected the mental health of 10.1% of the inhabitants of the San Sebastian neighbourhood in the canton of Latacunga, the main effect being stress. However, those who do not comply with the social isolation have also presented, stress, anxiety and depression therefore it is evident that there are other factors that cause damage to the psychological and emotional state of people and may already be by the conditions of the current pandemic and the new normal or other personal factors.Item Estados emocionales y su relación con el insomnio en el personal de salud durante pandemia(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-03-01) Vaca Palacios, Diana Patricia; Mayorga Ortiz, Diego Javier Psi.Cli. Mst.Introduction: The preventive quarantine, due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), has generated excessive fear in society, resulting from the lack of knowledge about the situation that people are facing. One of the most vulnerable groups in this context is health personnel, who are subjected to long hours of work and high levels of stress, which triggers depressive and anxious symptomatology and a decrease in the quality of sleep. Objective: to relate negative emotional states to insomnia in health personnel during the pandemic at Quero Type C Health Center, as well as to determine negative emotional states and to identify the presence of insomnia. Method: a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational research was carried out, with a census sample of 68 members of the health personnel, to whom two instruments were applied: the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21) to assess negative emotional states, and the Index Insomnia Severity Test (IIS) for quality of sleep. Results: Among the main results it was possible to show that there is a significant correlation between insomnia and negative emotional states, as well as high percentages in the anxiety variable (41.2%). Mg.The COVID-19 pandemic shows the difficulties of older adults who are affected in their physical and mental health, which as a consequence of the measures taken by the government to safeguard their health has as a consequence the appearance of psychological effects . As a general objective we have Describe the psychological effects produced by COVID-19 in the elderly at the Seños de los Remedios reception center in Píllaro canton. The methodology used in this project was quantitative, descriptive, which corresponds to the cross-sectional field design because a statistical analysis of the psychological effects produced by COVID-19 was carried out in the elderly at the Señor de los Remedios reception center, in a determined period with real data, which will be obtained from the three scales of anxiety, depression and stress maintaining the inclusion and exclusion criteria where the results establish that one of the most relevant psychological effects was anxiety with a 68.06% percentage where Older adults manifested signs and symptoms such as headache, worry, tremors, and tension.
