Item Acompañamiento familiar en pacientes oncológicos(Universidad Técnica de Ambato,Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2022-09) Villafuerte Maya, Cynthia Belén; Balseca Basantes, Jeanneth ElizabethIn this research, the study "Family Accompaniment of Cancer Patients" was identified, with the objective of determining the process of accompaniment of relatives of Solca Núcleo Tungurahua patients, which detailed the "Narratives of relatives of cancer patients". Where the research is focused through the qualitative method, through the implementation of the interview-questionnaire tool, which has a semi-structured development, defining the relationships with the family expectations of cancer patients, as well as delimiting the study population with a sample of 25 relatives who have relatives diagnosed with cancer belonging to SOLCA Nucleus of Tungurahua. During this study, family members showed the existence of five structures: affective, communication, biographical interruption, patient care and transition. In addition, it is determined that in the first stage; family members should provide moral and economic support to the person with the disease in the second stage; before the diagnosis the relatives will be within their possibilities while the treatment is carried out in the third stage Help the patient; the family unit is important in managing a possible loss, stage 4; In the face of losing a loved one to cancer, a loved one may be able to express their emotions openly to ease the pain it brings.Item Desarrollo psicosocial y la enfermedad de Parkinson en Adultos Mayores(Universidad Tècnica de Ambato, Facultad de Jurisprudencia y Ciencias Sociales, Carrera de Trabajo Social, 2024-02) Naranjo Verdezoto, Nayely Stefania; Pino Loza, Eulalia DoloresReceiving a diagnosis of Parkinson's can have a significant impact on emotional and social well-being. The person may experience a wide range of emotions, such as shock, sadness, anger or fear. Emotional support and understanding from family and friends are critical at this stage. Parkinson's disease can affect social relationships. Difficulties in communicating or participating in social activities due to motor symptoms can lead to isolation. However, with appropriate support and understanding from others, it is possible to maintain meaningful social relationships. Challenges associated with the disease, such as limited movement and dependence on caregivers, can affect mental health. It is important to address mental and emotional health, whether through therapy, support groups or other strategies. Support from healthcare professionals, including neurologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and social workers, is critical to managing the disease and improving quality of life. It is worth mentioning that psychosocial development in the context of Parkinson's disease involves emotional adaptation, management of physical changes, preservation of social relationships and comprehensive mental health care. Emotional support, understanding and access to appropriate resources and treatments are key components in coping with this neurodegenerative disease
