Their ability to enhance productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness of companies represents a key factor for the region's economic and sustainable development. The synergy among industrial design, provincial management, academia, and specialized professionals in the field is essential to develop a comprehensive strategy that fosters innovation and improves the competitive position of local products in the market. Furthermore, the importance of strengthening collaboration among different stakeholders to enhance the local industry and facilitate its integration into a dynamic and evolving economic environment is emphasized. In conclusion, this study highlights the relevance of industrial design as a catalyst for development and value generation in the productive sectors of Tungurahua province. The research provides a solid foundation for the implementation of policies and strategies that promote the strategic role of industrial design in economic growth and regional competitiveness. By considering the recommendations derived from this study, solid frameworks can be established for more robust and successful business management, aligned with the challenges and opportunities of the current business environment.
