Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2022-09) Moreta Tigse, Jonathan Eduardo; Altamirano Meléndez, Santiago MauricioCaring for older adults year after year represents large investments for their assistance due to the degenerative process that prevents them from leading a full life or performing simple daily tasks. The need to have people in charge of their care also implies applying technologies that help them assist in risk events. This project develops and implements a home automation system based on IoT for the Comprehensive Center for the Elderly (CIAM) of the city of Ambato, which under the guidelines of the staff together with the author's skills, manage to determine specific requirements for the center. The design and construction of IoT devices for the monitoring of variables related to their environment and the control of the facilities, is complemented by a server in the cloud whose resources are directed to provide communication through the MQTT protocol. Automatic control is also integrated into its configuration to provide adequate environmental conditions for older adults, in the face of temperature values not indicated for their daily lives. Through a user interface developed in Node Red, the staff has the technology that supports the assistance of older adults, as well as the Notifications that the system generates when recognizing changes in the measured variables. Speech recognition is added to the system for device control using Raspberry PI. Forming a system capable of providing communication between devices and generating automatic notifications through mobile messaging services.Item Algoritmos de procesamiento de señales para el reconocimiento facial y de voz empleando redes neuronales(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2022-09) Orozco Analuiza, Carlos Alexander; Pallo Noroña, Juan PabloThe present titling work deals with the development of an access control system through facial and voice recognition, for the authentication of people in a home. Currently, the levels of insecurity have increased and this has led to an increase in theft and damage to real estate due to the low level of security in a home. The device developed in this project is based on a bimodal access biometric, through machine learning and neural networks, a subfield of Artificial Intelligence. The system has two authentication methods: facial and voice, for which neural network models designed by the researcher were used with the stages of: database formation, image and audio processing, and neural network design. He implements two methods of facial and voice authentication to avoid identity theft, a camera is responsible for capturing the person's face and performing recognition through the neural network, if the user is registered, the microphone is activated to capture the key of access and process it through the neural network, to record the data a LAMP server is used where the system information and user notifications are stored through the Telegram application. This project is aimed at controlling the access of people to a home, avoiding the use of traditional authentication methods.Item Sistema electrónico orientado a la enseñanza del lenguaje infantil mediante Fonoaudiología(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2017-01) Caicedo Altamirano, Fernando Sebastián; Pallo Noroña, Juan PabloEn la presente investigación se muestra el desarrollo de un sistema que tiene como finalidad ser un instrumento de ayuda en terapias del lenguaje en niños y niñas con problemas de pronunciación. El diseño y funcionamiento del dispositivo permite una interacción directa del paciente, porque cuenta con un botón de control luminoso y una aplicación móvil para dispositivos Android 3.0 o superior en la cual se puede visualizar mediante gráficos ejercicios de praxias que deben realizar los niños y gráficos de palabras que debe intentar pronunciar, haciéndolo llamativo e interesante para ellos. La correcta pronunciación de las palabras puede ser determinada por el mismo sistema, mediante el uso de un dispositivo de reconocimiento de voz VR3 (voice recognition V3) o de forma manual por decisión de la persona que realiza la terapia. La configuración de reconocimiento de voz está establecida específicamente para menores de 10 años de edad. Este sistema permite tener un ambiente más atractivo y aceptado por el paciente durante las sesiones de terapia. ABSTRACT In this research the development of a system that is intended to be an aid in language therapy in children with pronunciation problems is shown. The design and operation of the device allows for direct patient interaction because it has a build in light control button and a mobile application for Android 3.0 or up devices which can display graphics of praxis exercises to be performed by children and graphics of words that must try to pronounce, making it striking and interesting for them. The correct pronunciation of words can be determined by the same system, using a voice recognition device VR3 (voice recognition V3) or manually by decision of the person conducting the therapy. The voice recognition settings are set specifically for use in below 10 years old. This system allows for a more attractive and accepted environment by the patient during therapy sessions.Item Sistema de control automático de una ducha eléctrica mediante reconocimiento de la voz para personas con discapacidad en las extremidades superiores(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Carrera de Ingeniería en Electrónica y Comunicaciones, 2015-07) Acosta López, Alex Darío; Córdova, PatricioEn la actualidad las personas que sufren de limitaciones en las extremidades superiores requieren de la ayuda de terceras personas para realizar actividades, como el aseo personal, ya que sus limitaciones les impiden desenvolverse al ducharse, es por ello que hoy en día la implementación de sistemas de control para personas que con discapacidad física está tomando gran incremento, ya que mejoran la calidad de vida, permitiéndoles desenvolverse sin la necesidad de algún tipo de ayuda. El presente proyecto otorga una visión global, debido a que ayuda a estas personas a realizar la actividad del aseo personal fácilmente, para cumplir con este propósito se ha realizado una investigación del funcionamiento de duchas eléctricas y de dispositivos que permitan reconocer eficientemente la voz. Se ha realizado un sistema que permita controlar la temperatura, el flujo de agua, el encendido y apagado de la ducha eléctrica a través de comandos de voz, con el fin de ofrecer independencia a la persona con discapacitada en las extremidades superiores. ABSTRACT At present the people with limitations in the upper extremities require the assistance of third parties for activities such as grooming, as their limitations prevent them cope when showering, is why today the systems implementation control to people who suffer from certain limitations are taking big increase, and that improve the quality of life, allowing them to function without the need of any help. This project provides a global view, because it helps people to undertake the activity of grooming easily to fulfill this purpose has conducted an investigation of the operation of electric showers and with means to efficiently recognize the voice. There has been a system to monitor the temperature, the flow of water on and off electric shower through voice commands, in order to provide independence to people with disabilities in the upper extremity.
