Item Estudio de ruido laboral y vibraciones en el área de molinos y pastificio de la empresa Industrias Catedral S.A.(Universidad Técnica de Ambato. Facultad de Ingeniería en Sistemas, Electrónica e Industrial. Carrera de Ingeniería Industrial en Procesos de Automatización, 2022-09) Paucar Moya, Héctor Hugo; Luis Alberto, Morales PerrazoThe production processes related to grain grinding and pasta making are closely connected to the use of machinery, which has facilitated work, but it also constitutes a source of noise and vibration, there are two risk factors that trigger various conditions on worker's health. The objective of this research is to evaluate the levels of noise and vibrations to which workers are exposed to. The study includes the analysis of jobs through the description of tasks, identification of sources of noise and vibration generation, definition of work patterns and homogeneous exposure groups, measurement of noise and vibration levels; and the comparison of the values found with the permissible limits. The results show that 100% of the people in the evaluated areas are exposed to noise levels above 85 Db (A), while the exposure to vibrations is minimal, being below the permitted limit (1.15 𝑚⁄𝑠2). It is concluded that the current conditions of exposure to noise in the company in question can cause disorders on the health of the workers since they represent an intolerable risk, while the exposure to vibrations, even if it is very low, can generate on the worker conditions related to the disease of the movement such as nausea or dizziness, as well as malaise and discomfort during the performance of their tasks.
