Clinical simulation scenarios are teaching mechanisms which are performed dynamically with the student; this methodology provides the improvement of skills and abilities. Analyzing student satisfaction in clinical simulation scenarios will allow improvements to be made in terms of learning acquired. Objective: To analyze the role of clinical simulation scenarios in the learning process of nursing students. Methods: Quantitative research, observational and cross-sectional design, with a universe of 624 nursing students of the Technical University of Ambato, the sample was 239 students obtained through the virtual calculator QuestionPro with a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 5%, through stratified sampling, to which the “Survey of quality and satisfaction of clinical simulation” was applied. The data analysis was performed using the statistical program SPSS version 29.0.1.0 (171), in addition, the study was based on the Declaration of Helsinki and with the authorization of the Ethics Committee for research on human beings of the university Results: It is found that 150 students (62.8%) have a high level of general satisfaction in relation to the learning acquired in the simulation scenarios. Conclusion: The level of overall satisfaction in relation to the clinical simulation scenarios is high, however, a percentage of students with medium and low satisfaction was found that should be considered to improve the measured aspects of the simulation.
