Item ADICCIÓN A LAS REDES SOCIALES Y BIENESTAR PSICOLÓGICO EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS(2025-03-05) Garcés Obregón, Jesy Nayeli; Gavilanes Manzano, Fanny Rocío; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología ClínicaNowadays, social networks are a circumstantial tool for communication and social development of people, therefore, the present study aimed to determine the relationship between addiction to social networks and psychological well-being. A total of 206 students from a university in Latacunga - Ecuador participated in the study. The research has a nonexperimental design, with a descriptive-correlational scope. Two psychometric instruments were applied to measure the study variables: the Escurra and Salas Social Network Addiction Questionnaire (ARS) and the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale (EBPR). The results showed a low positive correlation between the study variables, which implies that the greater the use of social networks, the higher the level of psychological well-being also increases slightly. A high level of addiction (81.1) was obtained with respect to the mean of all participants, and a moderate level of psychological well-being (61.2 %). A comparison by sex showed that there were no significant differences between men and women, therefore, a low positive correlation was concluded (p=0.078), suggesting that as long as there is a prolonged use of social networks, the dimensions that encompass psychological well-being such as autonomy, mastery of the environment, purpose in life, and personal growth tend to increase slightly in the study population.Item Desregulación emocional y su relación con la autoeficacia en adolescentes(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-03-01) Lozada Miranda, Ana Lucía; Valencia Cepeda, María Cristina Ps. Cl. Mst.The effects of emotional dysregulation can affect perceived self-efficacy and in turn interfere with individuals' adaptive behaviors, especially in adolescence, being a stage marked by change. For this reason, the current study focuses on the connection between both variables in this population. The aim of the present study is to determine the relationship between emotional dysregulation and self-efficacy in adolescents. The study has a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional research design. Adolescents from public and private educational institutions who were studying between ninth and third year of high school participated in the study. It was determined that there is a negative correlation between emotional dysregulation and self-efficacy. The sample presents high scores in emotional regulation and high self-efficacy; regarding the difference by sex in the emotional dysregulation variable, it was determined that women have greater difficulty in emotional regulation. In addition, it was determined that the higher the emotional dysregulation, the lower the self-efficacy and vice versa.
