Item RESILIENCIA Y SATISFACCIÓN SEXUAL EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS(2025-03-05) Rojano Junta, Leonela Rosario; Lara Salazar, Cristina Mariela; Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología ClínicaThe objective of this study was to determine the relationship between resilience and sexual satisfaction in university students, using a sample of 100 students from the faculty of Agricultural Sciences in an age range of 18 to 25 years, from an Ecuadorian university. The research had a quantitative, descriptive, correlational, non-experimental and crosssectional approach, using the Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale and the New Sexual Satisfaction Scale (NSSS). The results showed that there is no correlation between the variables, in terms of resilience levels, 42% of the students were at a very low level, 22% at a low level, and 36% at average and high levels. In terms of sexual satisfaction, 45% of the participants were very satisfied, 34% extremely satisfied and 21% satisfied, with no reported levels of dissatisfaction, in addition, a statistically significant difference was found in terms of the variable sexual satisfaction between men and women (U=913 p<0.05),Item Afrontamiento del covid-19 en el personal auxiliar de enfermería(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2022-10-12) Ramírez Maiquiza, Doménica Yadira; López Pérez, Grace PamelaIntroduction: The global crisis due to COVID-19, has produced changes in health institutions, affecting the mental health of health personnel, so it has been necessary to implement coping strategies to adapt to the situation. Objective: To identify COVID-19 coping in auxiliary nursing staff. Methodology: This is quantitative research of non experimental design, cross-sectional, with a descriptive scope. The study population was 100 nursing assistants of the Hospital General Docente Ambato. The information was collected through a survey with 21 closed questions, divided into 3 dimensions: adaptation or assimilation, adequate management of emotions and social limitations. Results: The coping strategies used were problem solving with 55%, worry solving with 47.5% and resistance to difficulties with 56%; the nursing assistants presented a medium level of coping with a percentage of 41%. Conclusions: COVID-19 coping has been progressively improving, healthcare professionals have changed their way of thinking and acting in the face of illness, allowing their work development, for such reason, it is essential that coping strategies continue to be applied and encouraged among workers, in order to maintain their health both physically and psychologicallyItem El estrés académico y su relación con estrategias de afrontamiento en adolescentes en el contexto de educación virtual(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2022-03-01) Sánchez Espinosa, Jessica Estefania; Lara Salazar, Cristina Mariela Ps. Mg.Introduction: currently, due to the pandemic, face-to-face education has been transformed into online education, causing an increase in academic stress that significantly affects the students' usual development, for which the student employs coping strategies depending on previous experiences or as he/she deems necessary. Objective: to analyze the relationship between the level of academic stress in virtual education and coping strategies in adolescents. Methods: a quantitative correlational, cross-sectional, nonexperimental research conducted in an Educational Unit with a sample of 110 adolescent students of the Unified General High School, using the SISCO Academic Stress Inventory and the Adolescent Coping Scale (ACS) for data collection. Results: a negative correlation was found between academic stress and coping strategies, likewise 69.1% of the population suffer from moderate academic stress; referring to gender it was found that women are more exposed to suffer from it with an average of 9.307 more than men; it was also evidenced that most students use average levels of coping strategies being so that women are the ones who use them in greater quantity. Conclusions: Adolescents with lower use of coping strategies are more prone to academic stress, the strategies employed by the participants are: conflict resolution, relationship with others and unproductive coping.Item Vivencias del cuidador informal del paciente con covid-19 en la instancia domiciliaria en la parroquia de Quisapincha cantón Ambato(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-09-01) Freire Coronado, Jennifer Katherine; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy Cristina Dra.SARS-CoV-2 is an RNA virus that is part of the coronaviridae family that is related to wild animals such as bats and intermediary reservoirs such as the pangolin, snakes and minks. This irus produces the illness better known as COVID-19. The analysis of the informal caregiver’s experiences handling a patient positive for COVID-19 and its work overload, also the methods used to face the issue. A thorough qualitative, description investigation was conducted, with a proper field design. The research focus were the family members of COVID-19 patients from the parish of Quisapincha, whom were also the informal caregivers. The research data was obtained via semi-structured interviews done to ten participants; the pertinent criteria related to the quality and data adequacy, also the overflow of unnecessary information. The analysis was performed following the rules of the fundamental theory of data. The ethical principles of autonomy were protected, respect and confidentiality of the information given. In this study, the overload of the COVID-19 patients’ caregivers was low, this was because their focus was not on the negative. Their focus was in the love they have for their family member and using different strategies to face the virus so the patient’s quality of life is not affected. Through the informant’s stories, it was conclusive that these caregivers did not suffer from work overload during the COVID-19 patient’s care; they also demonstrated their feelings love and family unity.Item Afrontamiento familiar ante el diagnóstico y evolución de la enfermedad ataxia de friedreich(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2021-03-01) López Rios, Erika Evelyn; Guarate Coronado, Yeisy Cristina Dra.Introduction: Friedreich's ataxia is considered rare or infrequent because it has a prevalence of 4 / 1,000,000 and an incidence of 6 / 1,000,000 inhabitants: This pathology is hereditary neurodegenerative of a progressive nature that causes dependence in those who suffer from it, therefore that family coping with the diagnosis and evolution of the disease is a determining factor in achieving wellbeing and quality of life for the patient and the family. Objective: To describe the family coping with the diagnosis and evolution of the neurodegenerative disease Friedreich's Ataxia in one of its members. Methods: A qualitative-descriptive investigation was carried out, semi-structured interviews were carried out with the family group of the patient with Friedreich's Ataxia, keeping the ethical principles of autonomy, respect and confidentiality of the information; Once the interviewees had been completed, the information was triangulated and the analysis was carried out using the methodology of Demaziére D. and Dubar C. Results: From the diagnosis and evolution of Friedreich's Ataxia, the relatives experienced negative feelings, economic changes emerged family, social and quality of life, in addition, care is difficult, so the main caregiver presented overload. However, the family has managed to cope positively using strategies focused on the problem and emotions. Mg.The present research project with the theme "Nursing interventions and their influence on the emotional coping of the mothers of newborns hospitalized in the Neonatology service of the Ambato General Hospital", the general objective was "to determine how the interventions of Nursing influence the emotional coping of mothers of newborns hospitalized in the neonatology service of the Ambato General Hospital (IESS). " This research had a quantitative approach with a methodological field study and descriptive-correlational in which a total of 20 nurses who work in the Neonatology service of the Ambato General Hospital (IESS) and 22 mothers of hospitalized newborns participated. sample was 100% of the population under study. The observation guide was applied to the nursing staff, while the instrument scale of the level of stress perceived by the parents was applied to the mothers of newborns hospitalized in the Neonatology service. At the end of the investigation, the non-Chi square test was applied, in which the hypothesis was accepted and it was concluded that nursing interventions do influence the emotional coping of the mothers of hospitalized newborns.Item “Estrategias de afrontamiento y sobrecarga en el cuidador de niños con discapacidad intelectual”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2017-07-01) Toapanta Avilés, Lenin Israel; Guzmán Hallo, Byron Miguel Ps. Cl.The present investigation had as objective to determine the influence of the coping strategies and the overload of the caregiver of children with intellectual disability of the Foundation of Special Children of San Miguel. Coping strategies are a set of cognitive and behavioral processes that are developed in situations of threat or stressors; the evaluation of coping strategies was done through the Coping Strategies Inventory, which evaluates eight types of coping strategies. On the other part, the caregiver's overload is the emotional and physical exhaustion in the presence of stressful situations related to the care of a person. The Caretaker Overload scale provides a global result, allowing you get the respective overload levels. Applied to 50 caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities. For the data analysis, the SPSS statistical program was used through the X2 test, obtaining an exact chi square significance (0.270> 0.05), checking the independence of the variables, therefore, there is no relationship between the variables. Cl.The present research aimed to determine the relationship between coping strategies and quality of life in cancer patients, was chosen at the Solca Tungurahua-Hospital Oncology Unit "Dr. Julio Enrique Paredes C. ", of the city of Ambato, for the investigation was counted on the participation of 100 people of ages between the 18 and 60 years. The type of research that was carried out was correlational, bibliographical and documentary. To obtain data, psychological reagents were used to identify types of coping (Lazarus Stress Scale), while SF-36 Questionnaire was used to measure quality of life levels. After the application of reagents, statistical analysis and verification of the hypothesis were carried out through the SPSS program.22 It was determined that the coping strategies are related to the quality of life of cancer patients.Item “Estrés académico y afrontamiento en estudiantes de medicina de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2017-05-01) Guano Bermeo, Ivonne Vanessa; Díaz Martín, Yanet Psc. Mg.Stress is one of the most important risk factor in health illness process. The university studies can to produce academic stress on medical students specifically. The research objective was to determine if there any relation between academic stress and coping used by medical students from the Technical University of Ambato in Ecuador .A correlational study was carried out from October 2016 to March , 2017. The universe wos the second medical students and sample of 81. Used the SISCO and the ACS, where the alternative hypothesis was verified by what the academic stress is related to coping. In addition, it was concluded that academic stressors that most affected were the excess of assessments, the implementation of a review, the academic overload and the responsibility to meet the academic requirements. Found physiological symptoms such as fatigue-permanent fatigue, symptoms related to the activity of sleep, headaches and migraine in the psychological reactions showed problems of concentration, forgetfulness, anxiety and distress, behavioral reactions showed that there is increasing prevalence or reduction of food consumption and the motivation for the activities. The strategies used were made-to succeed and physical distractions, which shows a predominance of style aimed at the resolution of the problem, which leads students to focus on problem-solving strategies to mitigate the effect of stress.Item Violencia de Género y Estrategias de Afrontamiento en Mujeres de la Población de Anchiliví 2015 – 2016(Universidad Técnica de Ambato-Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud-Dirección de Posgrado, 2016-11-01) Silvia Rosana, Defaz Taipe Dra.; Becker Santiago Dr. Esp., Neto Mullo,The objective of this study is to determine the coping strategies present in women suffering from gender-based violence in the Anchiliví neighborhood Salcedo Canton in the period 2015-2016. A qualitative-quantitative, field, observational, documentary, descriptive-correlational study. The sample consisted of 114 women between 20 and 40 years of age, married and in free union, two surveys were carried out, the first one assessing if they were victims of violence and second the inventory of coping strategies CSI, the data were Entered in an Excel database and processed in the SPSS program, applying the Chi square statistic with a significance level of p <0.05. Obtaining that 68.42% of women present some type of violence, while 31.58% reported not having suffered, taking into account the type of violence, the psychological represented 100%, physical 34.2% and sexual violence with 5.25%, they were in dependence with the sociodemographic characteristics. It is concluded that women victims of violence have 57.89% of adequate management in the face of violence, this responds to the fact that most of them present coping strategies such as solving the problem and social support. 41.01% presented inadequate management in the presence of violence, because they have desiderative thoughts and are self-critical.
