Emotional intelligence is the capacity of a human being to perceive, understand, control and change his or her emotional state; while aggressiveness is a natural, fundamental and primary defensive behavior of some living beings because it responds to biological instinct and serves as a resource to face all kinds of risk situations. The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and aggressiveness in university students. The study was carried out by means of a non-experimental, cross sectional, quantitative design. With a sample of 234 students, 79 males and 155 females, with an age range of 18 to 28 years. For the emotional intelligence variable, the scale for the evaluation of the expression, management and recognition of emotions (TMMS-24) was applied, and the Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) of Buss and Perry was used to evaluate aggressiveness. The results showed that there was a slight negative relationship (Rho= -0.167 p<0.05) between the emotional clarity dimension and the aggression variable, therefore, it could be inferred that the lower the aggression, the higher the emotional intelligence management.

(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-08-01) Morales Llerena, Washington Rodrigo; Velasteguí Hernández, Diana Catalina Psc. Cl. Mg.
This research explores psychological well-being, defined as the generation of positive emotions and the absence of negative emotions, improving quality of life and facilitating positive relationships with others. On the other hand, aggressiveness manifests itself as a set of behaviors aimed at causing harm or suffering to other people or oneself, taking various forms such as physical and verbal aggression, anger and hostility. The objective was to determine the relationship between psychological well-being and aggressiveness in university students of Jurisprudence and Social Sciences at the Technical University of Ambato. To meet the objectives, a quantitative approach was used with a non experimental design and correlational descriptive scope. The sample had 101 university students of both genders, between 18 and 26 years old. The instruments used were the Ryff Psychological Well-being Scale and the Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire (AQ). The results revealed significant differences between men and women, showing that women tend to react more aggressively in stressful situations. Furthermore, a slight negative correlation was found (Rho= -0.335, p<0.001) using the Spearman test. Finally, these data allowed us to conclude that the greater the psychological well-being, the less aggressiveness and vice versa.

(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2022-09-01) Millan Velasquez, Marco Eduardo; Gavilanes Gómez, Guillermo Daniel Psi. Cl. Mg.
The study aimed to determine if there is a significant relationship between levels of aggressiveness and levels of video game addiction in adolescents. The study had a quantitative, correlational, and cross-sectional approach, using a sample of 222 high school students, 119 men and 103 women from the "Villa Florida" Educational Unit in the city of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas - Ecuador. For the evaluation, two psychological instruments were applied: the Buss and PerryAggressiveness Questionnaire of the year 2002, which consists of 29 items, and the Spanish Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-Short-Form (IGDS9-SF) of the year 2020, of 9 items, both instruments They have a Likert scale for the answers. The data analysis was carried out with the SPSS statistical program through the Spearman's Rho test, the same one in which it was possible to determine that there is a significant correlation between the levels of aggressiveness and the levels of video game addiction (p<0.01). According to the data obtained through the evaluations, the levels of aggressiveness in adolescents are determined with a predominance in the middle levels with 33.3% and with high levels with 27.0% of high school students, so Consequently, regarding the levels of video game addiction, it is possible to determine low levels with 95.5% of the population, emphasizing that 0.9% have high levels of IGD, which means that there is a certain predisposition for adolescents to learn behaviors and normalize certain behaviors as evidenced in some video games, considering the advantages and disadvantages that the use of video games implies in adolescents.

Mst.
The present study identified the relationship between academic stress and aggressiveness in unified general high school students, constructs measured by means of the SISCO Inventory of Academic Stress and The Buss and Perry Aggressiveness Questionnaire (AQ) in a sample of 105 unified general high school students, with an age range between 16 and 18 years old, were selected under exclusion and inclusion criteria. The results showed that most of the adolescents present a moderate level of academic stress and a deep level of academic stress, a small amount of the sample obtained a mild level of academic stress, and statistically significant differences were found between male and female genders. More than half of the investigated population presented a low level of aggressiveness, followed by medium and high, the levels with the lowest predominance of aggressiveness were low and very high. For the verification of the hypothesis of correlation between academic stress and aggressiveness, in this case, given the fulfillment of the normality assumption, the Pearson Correlation Statistic was used. Once the data were analyzed, it was concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between the study variables and a directly proportional correlation with a moderate degree of relationship.

Cl. Mg.
Cell phone dependency is known as the necessity to have access to a mobile device in a given situation, this dependency appears more frequently in adolescents who can sometimes show a behavior related to aggressiveness. Having access to a cell phone allows people an extensive connectivity to social networks, internet or video games which can generate an addiction and it is in the moment when adolescents do not have access to any device that keep them connected which can be a causal factor for the development of aggressiveness in vulnerable populations such as adolescents. Based on this fact, research was carried out with a correlational, cross-sectional methodology in an educational institution, a sample of 104 adolescents was used, where 45.2% were female and 54.8% male, with an average of 15.69 years old; two reagents were used, the Choliz Mobile Dependence Test (TDM) and the Buss and Perry Aggressiveness Questionnaire (AQ). The results obtained showed a statistically significant correlation between the dependent and independent variables with a p=.000 value and a rho=.241** degree of correlation according to Spearman's test. Therefore, it is possible to prove that with a higher level of cell phone dependence, high levels of aggressiveness also appear in adolescents.

Mg.
This research aims to diagnose the level of resilience and aggressiveness profile to determine the existence or nor of the relationships between both variables in Young oddenders. To meet this objective it was necessary to créate a sociodemographic record that required collecting personal information from each of the participants. Later, resilience was assessed individually through out the Wagnils and Young Resilience Scale in the adaptation by Castilla et al. (2014) and, aggressiveness using the Questionnaire of premeditated and impulsive aggressiveness in adolescents created by José Andreu (2010). A correlational study was carried out with a non-experimental cross-sectional design, the sample was made up of 37 young people between 13 and 18 years deprived of their Liberty and recruited at the Riobamba Center for Offenders Adolescents. The values obtained through the Pearson Chi Square test show that there is no relationship between the level of resistance and the type of aggressiveness (X2 (6) = 0.857, p> 0.05). Therefore, it accepts the null hypothesis which indicates that resilience and aggressiveness are independent variables in this study group.
