Item NUTRICIÓN INFANTIL Y DESARROLLO COGNITIVO, UNA REVISIÓN DESDE LA ETAPA GESTACIONAL(2025-06-18) Sánchez Mayorga Damaris Nataly; Robayo Zurita, Verónica Alexandra; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Carrera de Nutrición y DietéticaDuring pregnancy the mother's body requires an adequate balance of macronutrients (proteins, carbohydrates and fats) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) to support both her own health and the development of the fetus. Incorporating a variety of foods in the diet ensures that diverse nutritional requirements are met, which is vital for preventing deficiencies that could hinder the growth and development of the newborn. A well-balanced diet not only aids in the physical growth of the fetus but also in its cognitive and neurological development. This becomes particularly crucial during the early stages of central nervous system formation, starting from the first weeks of pregnancy. Maternal nutrition directly influences the cognitive development of the child. Essential nutrients like folic acid, omega-3 fatty acids, iron, and iodine play a key role in the proper development of the brain and nervous system. A deficiency in these nutrients can result in cognitive developmental issues, such as learning difficulties or impaired intellectual growth. Inadequate or imbalanced maternal nutrition may compromise the child’s brain development, emphasizing the need for education and access to appropriate nutrition during pregnancyItem LACTANCIA MATERNA EN EL CRECIMIENTO Y DESARROLLO DE LA PRIMERA INFANCIA(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Nutrición y Dietética, 2024-09-25) Teneda Villalba, María José; Cruz Hidalgo, Pablo AndrésIntroduction: Breastfeeding is a biological feeding norm for all mammals, including human beings; it is essential to achieve the global goals of nutrition, health and survival. Objective: To identify how breastfeeding influences the growth and development of early childhood. Method: In 2023 and 2024, the search for available literature was carried out in the Pubmed, Google Schoolar, Scielo, Digitalia Hispánica, ScienceDirect, Medigraphic, Dialnet databases, the selection and subsequent analysis of information was carried out. Results: In total, 40 articles were chosen, evidencing the lack of knowledge and time as a barrier. Conclusion: It is important to identify the current nutritional reality experienced by hundreds of children and thus be able to intervene and implement nutritional education throughout the life cycle.Item Guia de estimulación temprana para impulsar el desarrollo cognitivo en niños de 4 - 5 años(Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud / Centro de posgrados, 2022-05-01) Izurieta Robles, Ana Monserrath Lcda.; De Mora Coloma, Jacqueline Alexandra Dra.Child development is characterized by being a priority process, with a high degree of brain plasticity, being essential to provide adequate conditions for brain functions to be established, if the process is interrupted by environmental, psychological, social and cultural factors, it shows the appearance possible affectations or delay in their development, deteriorating the quality of life of the child population. It is essential to address this problem correctly, through the timely detection of anomalies in the different areas of development; to establish early intervention strategies, in order to avoid and reduce risks that may alter its evolution. Quantitative study, which will allow the analysis of cognitive development in order to promote it through the use of early stimulation techniques in a population of 25 infants, attended in the Parish of Cunchibamba; chosen by inclusion and exclusion criteria. An evaluation test was obtained for the collection of information and the baseline of cognitive development was established. Research that is framed with a legal and ethical basis for its respective execution, which facilitated access to the homes of the infants for their respective evaluations through the McCarthy Scale, specifically the General Cognitive Scale, concluding with the results of the child population, Based on this, criteria will be established for the creation of the Early Stimulation Guide. The analysis of a second evaluation by the professional in charge is carried out, in which an advance in cognitive development is evidenced since 92% at the end of the intervention are in normal cognitive development and only 8% are on alert - low indicator, the intervention of the use of the Early Stimulation Guide being satisfactory. Mst.Music therapy is a support tool that is born from music and the positive changes it achieves in human beings, above all it allows the development of the areas: language and cognitive, achieving interactive communication between people, in addition, it contributes to brain plasticity in the first years of life. The objective of this research is to establish the level of language and cognitive development of 52 children from initial I and II in order to identify the criteria that allow the development of a music therapy guide. The research is descriptive and prospective since two evaluation instruments are applied: a.- "Battelle Development Inventory - Screening Test", which assesses the cognitive area, b.- "Abbreviated Development Scale - Nelson Ortiz" which assesses the language area and whose collected and analyzed results determine that there is more participation of girls than boys with a mean age of 49.59 months with a standard deviation of 5.49. 3.8% of those evaluated are in the "alert" range in language and in cognitive development, 84.6% are in the "not passed" items. In the area of language, a lower percentage of those evaluated obtained "alert" and the majority reached the "normal" level, on the contrary, in cognitive development, the majority is located in the "not exceeded" range and in the "exceeded" level. is a small number of participants; For the statistical data, the SPSS statistical system was used, using measures of central tendency and distribution. Due to the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a post-test was not carried out, without a doubt, it is necessary to develop a music therapy guide to promote language and cognitive development.Item “Inteligencia y estrategias de afrontamiento en estudiantes universitarios”(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2019-02-01) Morejón Uchubanda, Leydi Lisbet; Flores Hernández, Verónica Fernanda Ps. Cl. Mg.The present investigation was designed to determine the relation between the Intelligence and coping stratetegies in university students of the Technical University of Ambato, the Faculty of Sciences and Food Engineering of the province of Tungurahua, Ambato canton. The study was conformed of 100 female and male of which 64 are women and 34 are men in aged between 18 and 29 years. The reagents applied were The Simple OTIS Intelligence Test which evaluates the IQ the subject and The Stress Coping Strategies Questionnaire CAE, that evaluates the types of strategies. Subsequently, with the data obtained and processed using the statistical program SPSS through the Chi sqaure test (X2) concluded that intelligence not be related to Coping Strategies which throws an accurate biteral of 0.79 significance; determining that 0.79>0.05. In addition, it identifies the coping strategy most used by this population es the positive revaluation (REP), where people try to change the meaning of this problematic situation by focousing on positive aspects that have this situation. With regard to intelligence the 76% of the population obtained as a result and intelectual quotient that corresponds to the mean where it shows us that our population is in normal range according to the qualification obtained from the reagents applied.
