(Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud / Centro de posgrados, 2022-05-01) Velástegui Parra, Andrea Carolina Lcda.; Loza Sánchez, Edwin Humberto Dr. Esp.
This research refers to the implementation of a motor support device to stimulate crawling in children with delayed motor development, whose objective was to reestablish the level of motor development of children from 10 to 15 months of age at the Center for Plusteraphy Early Stimulation, which identified the criteria that allow the development of an ergonomic-orthopedic device for support and maternal and child support, in addition, it was evidenced that there was a relationship between gross motor development and risk factors that was the premature of the children that were included in the study. The method that was reduced in the investigation was quantitative, descriptive and prospective. For the execution of the proposal, a device was designed that is based on the kangaroo method with the purpose of recovering and improving motor skills, especially crawling, promoting active and orderly movement of the motor sequence

(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Centro de posgrados, 2021-09-01) Guamani Toapanta, Gabriela Maribel Lcda.; Moscoso Córdova , Grace VerónicaLcda. Mg.
The purpose of this study is to know the importance of Equine Therapy in motor development in children from 3 to 4 years old at the Virgen del Quinche Pillaro Equine Therapy Center, it is transcendental by promoting the use of domesticated horses that show friendly and sociable traits; in this way they enjoy being in contact with people, demonstrating tranquility and obedience; fundamental elements that benefit in therapies. In the methodological framework, to carry out the field research, the qualitative - quantitative approach is used by including in a data collection of the motor development test, aimed at girls from 2 to 5 years old. The items evaluate coordination, language and motor skills through the observation made to the infant; It is highlighted that the elaboration of a questionnaire made up of 8 questions contributed in obtaining information related to equine therapy, the TEPSI Test, allowed to demonstrate the psychometric properties and presented high sensitivity to assess the age differences in the psychomotor development of infants ; in this way, it facilitated the establishment of conclusions and recommendations. In the result, it is determined that equine therapy is used as a complementary physical and mental therapy by contributing to the improvement of motor skills; it also favors muscle toning, thus being used by people with muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injuries, mental retardation and cerebral palsy.

“Estimulación temprana en el desarrollo motor grueso de un paciente masculino deficiente visual de 12 meses”
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Estimulación Temprana, 2020-01-01) Quispe Cocha, Cecibel Estefanía; Troya Ortiz, Elsa VerónicaLic. Mg.
When talking about visual impairment we refer to the conditions characterized by a total or very serious limitation of visual function, which occurs at any stage of life and may be the result of infections during pregnancy. Cytomegalovirus infection can occur throughout pregnancy, severe forms occur when acquired in the first and second trimester, although their transmission is greater during the third trimester, most infected children die and survivors develop neurological, auditory sequelae , eye, psychomotor retardation, among other diseases. The present work details the case of a 12-month-old child diagnosed with congenital visual impairment caused by cytomegalovirus in the prenatal stage, which resulted in damage at the ocular level causing atrophy in the optic nerve and chorioretinitis. The congenital visual deficiency caused by cytomegalovirus produces alterations in the development of the child, affects the fulfillment of the milestones in the different areas such as: the social, language, cognitive and motor area, framed in the latter by the difficulty of exploring and mobilize on its own in the surrounding environment. The motor development of the child with visual impairment is slow, due to its low physical activity and lack of movements directed at objects, because they cannot perform them with sufficient autonomy and safety. The proposed treatment plan is aimed at the staff of the Early Stimulation area of the Centro de Salud Cevallos Tipo B, where after observing the patient's difficulties, activities that contribute to the development of the gross motor area have been taken into account, using materials and adapted toys that allow us to perceive the world through the senses, thus having them experience what other children do and feel through sight.

“La estimulación temprana en el desarrollo motor de una niña con hidrocefalia no comunicante moderada (obstructiva interna) de 10 meses de edad”
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Estimulación Temprana, 2019-09-01) Arcos Sánchez, Josselyn Mishell; Vaca Sánchez, María AlexandraLcda. Mg.
Hydrocephalus is the accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles and subarachnoid cavity, the same that is classified as congenital or acquired of a communicating and non-communicating type that can be obtained by several factors, including: congenital malformations, cranioencephalic trauma, lower absorption or greater production of cerebrospinal fluid, whose treatment is medical since in certain cases it is required medication or referrals to drain said liquid, In addition, the Early Stimulation is a therapeutic alternative to prevent or reduce the delay in the development of the patient, whose prognosis is fruitful if the treatment is adequate and applied in full. The present case analysis is of great importance because at present there are not many early intervention investigations in this pathology. It is of a descriptive type under the qualitative approach, whose line of research is human health. Finally, it is proposed a planning of Early Stimulation activities that will favor the motor development of the patient according to their needs and in this way reduce the incidence and manifestation of primarily physical sequelae.

The objective of this article is to identify the relationship between the brain gym and motor development in early childhood. For this purpose, a note survey was made from an electronic, bibliographic search and qualitative analysis techniques were used. The research was descriptive, a cross-sectional study because the prevalence of brain gym in the motor development of the child population is measured. It was found, a variety of articles on the novelty of the brain gym, seems to be given not only by the variety of scientific research, but also by the contribution to the motor, creative development, among other qualities besides that it is not specifically for children, but rather also the activity can be done with young people and adults. The population was 21 children of 3-4 years, for the evaluation of motor development a pre-test and post-test of Tepsi psychomotor development for children aged 2-5 years and an observation card was made.
