Item Programa de entrenamiento HIT Funcional para aumentar el VO2 máximo en deportistas amateur de básquet(2025-03-20) Indira Gabriela Araujo Muñoz; Israel Mauricio Zurita Altamirano.; Universidad Técnica de Ambato / Facultad de Ciencias de Salud / Centro de PosgradosBasketball, as one of the most popular sports in the world, requires the development of specific skills of the athlete in order to cover the physical, technical and tactile demands that this sport requires. Workouts that work in coordination between anaerobic systems and aerobic systems, such as functional HIIT, are effective for intermittent sports such as basketball. In this way, in the present investigation it has been proposed to determine the effects on VO2 max. of amateur basketball athletes from the Napo Sports Federation after the application of a functional HIIT training program; through a descriptive longitudinal cohort study, under a quantitative approach. Where the 8-week program was structured, which was reviewed and validated by the tutor, to be applied to 30 participants, selected under eligibility criteria. Two measurements of the tolerable aerobic exercise intensity (VO2 max) were carried out in the athletes using the Course Navette test, both before and after the application of the program. The results revealed a significant increase in VO2 max (p=0.000) after applying the program with an increase of 4.598 l/min. Concluding that high-intensity interval exercises are effective in improving the aerobic capacity of amateur basketball players, reflected by a better VO2 max.Item REHABILITACION RESPIRATORIA EN PACIENTES CON FIBROSIS QUISTICA: REVISION SISTEMATICA(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Fisioterapia, 2024-08-27) Nuñez Ibarra, Jonathan Alexander; Ortiz Villalba, Paola GabrielaCystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease that affects predominantly Caucasians according to ethnic and geographical groups. This disease is caused by the CFTR gene, which is responsible for ion transport; when dysfunctional, it generates mucous secretions at the pulmonary level. In the context of physiotherapy, it helps improve pulmonary secretions and lung capacity. The objective of this review article is to evaluate the efficacy of respiratory rehabilitation in patients diagnosed with CF, analyzing existing literature to identify the most effective interventions in improving lung function. A search for information from the last 5 years was conducted in databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, Scielo, Elsevier, and Springer with MeSH terms. Studies in English or Spanish were identified, and those that were controlled or randomized trials were considered. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, and 13 articles addressing techniques and exercises in CF patients were selected. The PRISMA model was employed. Thirteen articles were included in this review, including exercises, techniques, electrotherapy, resistance training, aerobic training and nebulizer therapies. In which a positive trend was observed in most of the articles, showing benefits in the CF patient. The application of different techniques proved to be a very important component at the time of performing and treating the patient with CF. Both aerobic and resistance exercise combined with different instruments helped to improve lung capacity and the elimination of secretions.Item ESTUDIO DE LA DIETA Y EJERCICIO EN EL SÍNDROME DE OVARIO POLIQUÍSTICO (SOP) EN MUJERES EN EDAD REPRODUCTIVA(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Medicina, 2024-07-04) Carrasco Villegas, Joselyne Elizabeth; Bustillos Solorzano, Marcos EdissonIntroduction: Polycystic ovary syndrome is the most common chronic endocrinopathy in women of reproductive age. It has become a heterogeneous syndrome due to its presentation, evolution over time and short and long term consequences. Objective: To carry out a systematic review on the effect of diet and exercise on PCOS, in women of reproductive age, by searching transcendental literature for its correct non-pharmacological management. Methods: the article is a systematic review, describing results published in health journals and databases. For its development, more than 20 articles were selected, including systematic reviews, randomized controlled trials, review articles, clinical practice guidelines and original works. Results: PCOS is a common disorder that affects 5 out of 10 women of reproductive age. The causes are not well identified; some studies suggest identifying alterations in the genetic component, while others relate it to intra- or extrauterine environmental factors. Apparently, the most effective treatment for PCOS “according to data obtained from systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials” remains a change in lifestyle, with the implementation of a low-carbohydrate diet and the development of regular physical exercise. Conclusions: Women require a series of drugs to control hirsutism, anovulation and menstrual irregularities with the possibility of triggering adverse reactions; However, as a first-line treatment, women with PCOS should be encouraged to practice exercise regularly as it reduces insulin resistance, body weight, blood lipids, glucose and improves self-esteemItem Efectividad del ejercicio aeróbico en la disminución del dolor en población, con artrosis de rodilla grado 1(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Centro de posgrados, 2021-07-01) Balda Ulloa, Rommel Fernando Lic.; Tello Moreno, Mónica CristinaLic.
