(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2024-03-01) Lozada Miranda, Ana Lucía; Valencia Cepeda, María Cristina Ps. Cl. Mst.
The effects of emotional dysregulation can affect perceived self-efficacy and in turn interfere with individuals' adaptive behaviors, especially in adolescence, being a stage marked by change. For this reason, the current study focuses on the connection between both variables in this population. The aim of the present study is to determine the relationship between emotional dysregulation and self-efficacy in adolescents. The study has a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional research design. Adolescents from public and private educational institutions who were studying between ninth and third year of high school participated in the study. It was determined that there is a negative correlation between emotional dysregulation and self-efficacy. The sample presents high scores in emotional regulation and high self-efficacy; regarding the difference by sex in the emotional dysregulation variable, it was determined that women have greater difficulty in emotional regulation. In addition, it was determined that the higher the emotional dysregulation, the lower the self-efficacy and vice versa.

Dependence is an emotional state accompanied by a behavioral pattern that suggests difficulty in making decisions autonomously and rationally, while well-being is a subjective perception of harmony in the areas of personal, social and family development. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between emotional dependence and psychological well-being in military personnel. A non-experimental quantitative study with a descriptive and correlational cross-sectional design was used. A total of 206 military personnel from Ecuador with a mean age of 30.42 participated in the study, who were selected by means of non-probabilistic intentional sampling at the convenience of the researcher using inclusion criteria. The Emotional Dependence Questionnaire (EDC) and Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Questionnaire were used as instruments. The results show prevalence of normal (43.2%) and mild dependence (40.3%); in addition, moderate (55.8%) and low (43.2%) levels of psychological well-being; no significant associations were found between emotional dependence and marital status (p= ,101 > 0.50) or between psychological well-being and military marital status (p = ,342 > .050). Finally, no significant relationship was found between emotional dependence and psychological well-being (Rho = ,390 > 0.50), however, the correlation coefficient was (r= -.060), inferring that people with low levels of dependence will have high psychological well-being. It was concluded that emotional dependence is inversely related to psychological well-being, both variables are important when assessing the mental health of military personnel

(Universidad Técnica de Ambato/ Facultad de Ciencias de Salud /Carrera de Psicología Clínica, 2022-09-01) Paztuña Tonato, Edison Ramiro; Vásquez de la Bandera Cabezas, Fabricio Alejandro Ps.Cl. Mg.
The present investigation was carried out with the objective of identifying the relationship between the level of suicide risk and emotional intelligence in adults with a cancer diagnosis. The research has a quantitative approach because statistical data was used. It is non-experimental - cross-sectional because the variable risk of suicide and emotional intelligence were not manipulated and were only measured once. The research is of a correlational type because it is intended to see the relationship between suicide risk and emotional intelligence in adults with a cancer diagnosis. For the suicide risk variable, the Beck Hopelessness Scale (HS) was applied, and for emotional intelligence, the Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS-24). The application of the reagents was carried out in a population of 62 people between men and women with a cancer diagnosis. In the results, it was found that there was no relationship between the risk of suicide and the dimensions of emotional intelligence, thus accepting the null hypothesis, it was also observed that there is a low risk of suicide in the population. Thus, an adequate level in the three dimensions of emotional intelligence was also found in the people evaluated, but with a predominance in women. When comparing the level of risk of suicide according to the type of cancer, a low risk of committing suicide was observed in the majority. concluding that the type of cancer is not a factor for the person to present a high risk of committing suicide

Over time humans have gone through countless changes and relationships both physical and psychological; however coexist with us "obstacles" that rarely are resolved by one or another reason, one of them being emotional dependence, a silent friend, faithful companion of many individuals, which in most cases seems so normal and bearable ending triggering an uncontrolled intoxication and excessive thirst for the couple, losing authority, autonomy, and causing changes in the areas of development (family, social, labor, education) to be untouchables in humans. Overwhelmed question too much and feeling the need to contribute to the development of adequate mental health for our society, this study is focused on a very controversial topic in the media and even feared within hundreds of families by ignorance, and even uninvestigated since its genesis, worse staged approach to a possible solution adrift leaving thousands of young people as prisoners of chaos, which can expose and root out. Family and therefore the couple if it is to different ways of relating within society, they are based on prior learning obtained from its predecessor image, the "normal or" abnormal "base that is laid bare in this type of self-destructive toxic relationships.
