Mg., Diana Nancy
The work topic Competency-based Learning Strategy for Laboratory Quality Management, due to the lack of knowledge of second semester clinical laboratory students about this way of learning, the general objective was to develop a competency-based learning strategy for quality management of clinical laboratories, we worked on three specific objectives which were to identify processes and procedures, develop a pedagogical and didactic strategy and establish indicators of effectiveness for learning quality management in the clinical laboratory, we worked on the theoretical framework to analyze the criteria of authors on the subject, The methodology used was the explanatorydescriptive research of transversal cut, we worked with 20 students of second semester of the clinical laboratory career, the results allowed to generate a diagram of clinical laboratory processes, also the diagrams of processes of the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases were made, also the general and specific competences on quality in the clinical laboratory were identified, with these results the proposal titled Didactic strategies with approach by competences for the learning of quality management was elaborated. The main conclusion was, a pedagogical and didactic strategy was designed with a competency-based approach for learning quality management, the pedagogical strategy was the use of ICT, and as a didactic resource the video conference that allows effective communication, the general competence was to perform analytical studies of biological samples, the specific ones were to obtain biological samples, ensure the quality of the analytical process, prepare the sample for analysis and validate the results.

MG.
This research addresses the implementation and evaluation of the biosafety manual in the microbiology laboratory of the General Hospital of Ambato, because the institution did not have a manual establishing biosafety standards for the protection of laboratory personnel. In compliance with the main objective of implementing and evaluating the manual, a survey was conducted on the general concepts of biosafety standards, which allowed focusing on the relevant topics for the elaboration of the document. The results were evaluated by training 34 health professionals. Finally, a comparison of results was made, from the data obtained it was found that 46% had an average knowledge of biosafety standards which made the spread of pathogens in the environment of the microbiology area vulnerable, after the implementation there was a significant impact reaching 85% of the knowledge in the application of biosafety procedures, which was evidenced during the Covid 19 pandemic. According to the analysis carried out, it can be concluded that the application of biosafety policies in the laboratory allows guaranteeing the protection of human health and the risks associated with the environment.

“Clasificación de los desechos sanitarios por parte de los estudiantes que ingresan al laboratorio de simulación de la facultad de ciencias de la salud de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato en el ciclo académico septiembre 2019 febrero 2020”.
(Universdidad Técnica de Ambato/Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud/Carrera de Enfermería, 2020-03-01) Villacres Barona, Erica Carolina; Meza Rodríguez, María Viviana Lic. Mg.
The "classification of sanitary waste by students entering the simulation laboratory of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Technical University of Ambato in the academic year September 2019 February 2020", aimed In general, evaluate how the classification of sanitary waste is carried out by students who carry out simulation practices. The research was quantitative, for which data collection surveys were applied to determine the status of the problem, sampling was applied using the formula n= Za 2 *p*q/d2(N-1) + Za 2*p*q, where the population was 778 students and a sample of 161 students was obtained. It was applied as it was given a solution to the problem. According to its temporal scope, it was cross-sectional since the study was carried out at a certain time. According to its objective it was descriptive, since we were able to describe the context of the problem, and according to the framework where it was carried out it was field since it was carried out in the simulation laboratory, where the problem arose. From the data collected through the review document and the application of student surveys, it was obtained that, in the simulation laboratory, the waste generated during the clinical simulation practice is properly classified, more often common waste is generated, followed by infectious wastes and short sharps unlike special ones are rarely generated.

“Evaluación química y hematológica en pacientes hipertensos de la comunidad de Chaupiloma cantón Pillaro de la provincia de Tungurahua en el segundo semestre del año 2011”
(Universidad Técnica de Ambato - Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud - Carrera de Laboratorio Clínico, 2018-05-01) López Estrella, Hugo Ramiro; Ramos Ramírez, Martha Cecilia Bioq. F.
Hypertension is the most common health conditions of adult individuals in populations worldwide. Represents in itself a disease and an important risk factor for other chronic noncommunicable diseases that cause vascular damage, left ventricular hypertrophy, myocardial infarction, heart failure, diabetes mellitus, cerebrovascular disease, chronic kidney disease and overweight-obesity, with which shares a common pathophysiological state, expressed in functional and morphological changes that lead to a common purpose are cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases that currently represent the leading causes of death worldwide The present study aimed to determine the chemistry and hematology values hypertensive patients Chaupiloma community of Canton Pillaro Tungurahua Province and thereby observe the reality of each of the patients attending the health sub-center of this community . Surveys were applied to the collection of information, whereby it was possible to know the age of patients ranging from 42 to 88 years, of which the disease occurs in 50% of patients, most they have a BMI within the normal range, 70% of patients have a family history and 40% of patients receiving medical treatment. For analysis of the samples used for obtaining automated equipment of chemistry and hematology parameters of each of the patients. Statistical methods was used for the analysis of the results. Data collected to 80% of patients evaluated have glucose, urea, creatinine, uric acid altered, 70% of patients have normal reference values and LDL cholesterol, 60% of patients have normal triglycerides and 20% of patients have normal hemoglobin and hematocrit, 100% of patients have reference values within the normal limits of electrolytes. The purpose of this investigation was to avoid health complications of patients who come to the health sub-center Chaupiloma. Which is necessary for changes in your lifestyle decreasing risk factors associated with this pathology. Get the right treatment at the right time to prevent progression to disease associated.
